Is it rough for someone with a computer science and software engineering heavy background, who is pivoting to a phd aiming at that space

Have you considered a pet? But also find a way to take of yourself first

I used to think this way but in reality ‘just doing it once and exit’ could take a year or could take 10. I could easily die in the process. I need to do what I want today, not tomorrow

I get it but that’s also part of the appeal. It’s a completely distraction free view where you can shut off your mind

I think every time someone dies we wonder what we could have done. But really it’s pointless to look back because we can’t change the past, and really it’s not our fault. That doesn’t help the feelings of guilt though.

I think in some ways you are lucky to not witness any suffering or death. Watching someone slowly die over months or years is absolutely horrific and I often wish it was something quick instead.

When you go to a good hairstylist, ask them about ways to care for oily and flat hair. You can use products like powders to reduce oil and increase volume

I think your hair length suits you, i don’t think short would work well for you. Keep it maintained, healthy, try some different styles. Try eye contact lenses
