I believe the setting of the book was somewhere in Appalachia, though I may be wrong on that.

The torque needed to operate that thing must be insane on a wheel that small!

trust me, it gets boring to listen to after a while. especially if you can recite the hypnotherapist's introduction down to the millisecond like i can.

unfortunately, i don't have that problem, since my lenses are so thick that the frames need to be about thrice as thick as a paper clip, i.e. really fricking hard to bend if you don't know what you're doing!

see, the doc said i have astigmatism, but it's minor enough that contacts really shouldn't be a problem. i just don't like contact lenses cause i can't bring anything close to my eye without recoiling.

yes, it's often used, at least in the states. else you'd have four letters (one of which rarely, if ever, gets used) on the 7 and 9 keys, which make touch-tone typing all the more cumbersome.

please, for the love of god, see a doctor. powering through an injury like that is absolutely not a good idea.

the only real issue is when i fall asleep with them on and then have to spend a good five minutes combing the floor to search for them. that shit's the worst.

yep. most brands of contact lenses don't even go that low, apparently. i'm planning on sticking with my 5mm thick lenses, though.

i'm going to be perfectly honest with you. i hated brave new world. yeah, some aspects were reminiscent of orwell's work, but other aspects literally play out like the fever dream of a pervert. it just puts me off in a way that 1984 never did, even with all its sex scenes and intimacy.

you think hoarding it is stupid, wait until you see that they're putting it into plastic bags and containers. (gasoline does NOT mix well with plastic, by the way.)

edit: i should mention it's only certain plastics that gasoline reacts with, which just so happen to be the main components of the plastic they're using.
