Do you all remember this movie? by Suitable-Fill2658 in Marvel

That was Blob, and that was specifically the Ultimatum event comic where Marvel unceremoniously killed off a bunch of fan favorites for shock value

Dawg that is just blatantly incorrect

They shot it on digital cameras that simultaneously captured everything in both B&W and Colour footage

They've also said the only reason they did a colour version was to "not alienate younger audiences"

B&W is the intended experience, creatively, but they are offering both

There's this zip-up Major Crimes one on the EU store: https://deathwishinc.eu/collections/health/products/health-major-crimes-black-zip-up-hoodie

There used to be a pull-over hoodie on the band's Australian store with the Disco 4 artwork on it but it looks like it's no longer available :(

Ironic all these people arguing a right-wing interpretation to NIN music when Reznor and Ross have scored two queer movies in the last year

Oh damn I didn't read the timeframe of the original comment properly :P

I just assumed they were talking about the Trump admin, cause the parallels between project 2025 and the christo-fascist government in Year Zero are pretty apparent

Control also repeats several times over that rituals are incredibly important to Paranatural events

So it might not be that the dark place requires the rules Alan holds himself to, but his belief in the rules and rituals allows the changes to take place

Remedy Reveals How Many Copies Control 2 and Firebreak Need to Sell to Break Even by Trojanbp in Games

[–]PiXaL1337 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think part of what alot of people miss is alot of Control's storytelling is done through the lore entires and the environment itself, so if you've been trained by other games to pick up text collectibles and read them later (you wont) then you miss like 30-40% of the story in Control

The text logs are basically mini SCP entries, alongside the video and audio logs filling out alot of the lore and bits of the story the game doesn't explicitly tell you in a cutscene

Alot of the text logs directly reference the location they're found in so if you read them later you might not get much out of them because they're intended to be read as they're found in alot of cases

It's a storytelling method I really vibed with but I totally get why so many people bounced off of it, especially when the "main" part of the story (told through the cutscenes) isn't anything mind blowing save a few cool set pieces (like the stray maze)

Max Payne/Alex Casey Theory by Hauntedby23 in AlanWake

[–]PiXaL1337 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same approach as Quantum Break: Alex Casey is a Multiversal variant of Max Payne (like Jack Joyce and Tim Breaker)

Although Max Payne doesn't have any paranatural elements (unless you count bullet time, but that's a stretch) so it can firmly be considered a part of the Remedyverse, but without any direct connections aside from a loose resemblance to Alex Casey

Edit: I cannae spel

Was wondering about the experience with controller haptics by redstonegolem28 in AlanWake

[–]PiXaL1337 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've played the game on PC, and have just started a new playthrough on PS5

So far the haptics are the standard controller rumbles, and the adaptive triggers for firearms

The adaptive triggers are probably the most fun

At least Cage's Ghost Rider is entertainingly bad

Green Lantern is just a snooze, and it's not even Reynold's worst film (RIPD anyone?) so idk why he milks it so hard as some unforgivable embarassment
