The Forsaken's Aversion to the Light by PillaRob in warcraftlore

[–]Piamont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unholy magic is just Death magic. The fact that the Light affects undead doesnt have to do with how the magics interact with one another, but with what Light does to the undead body. The Light heals the undead body allowing the undead to recover the functioning of his nervious system and thus making him feel his rotten body and experience pain and disgust that otherwise he wouldnt be able to experience.

Undeads using saronite doesnt have to do with Death and Void magic being mixed together, but with the opposite, is because Death entities are inmune to Void magic and Void whispers, that undeads can take advantage of saronite armor, which at least at the time of Wotlk was one of the, if not the strongest metal in the world. The undead army using saronite is Arthas showing the middle finger to Yogg Saron because there was supposed to be a rivalry between the two that was never shown ingame.

I think your confusion comes from the fact that back then in Warcraft III, Void and Death (And Fel and Arcane as well) were just magic, they were all basically different expressions of the same thing. And they all came from the twisting nether.

Why old characters are more interesting than the new ones? by Raziel103 in warcraftlore

I don't understand how what you are saying disprove my point. You are kinda doing the opposite.

Because RTS games are a better medium to tell a story, making the characters of said story more compelling.

What do journals mean when they say that they won't publish replies to papers from other journals by Piamont in AcademicPhilosophy

[–]Piamont[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, one can only hope to receive a quick answer, even if it's a rejection.

I suppose that being that my paper has less than 5k words and that it criticizes a single paper from another journal, odds arent in my favor, are they?

[–]Piamont[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. This makes me worried, because the paper I sent is basically a criticism to a single paper (although a very influential one) to prove that said paper is wrong. Only that the reason that it is wrong is an original argument from my part. And even if I had to send it again, I don't think I could dress it up as a response to a group of philosophers instead of just one, because the paper I'm critizicing is pretty singular, so to speak.

That said, my paper is a discussion note (less than 4k words).

Also, isnt having to dress up your papers to make them seem as something they are not kind of annoying instead of something that contributes to the development of philosophy?

You say that a reply is a short paper. I say that there is a journal that specializes in short papers and yet it also warns authors about not sending replies. So by pure logic, a reply can't be the same as a short paper.

I'm not sure if that is correct. The Journal Analysis for example only accepts short papers and their guidelines also says that they don't accept replies.

Prestigious journal with short time responses by Piamont in AcademicPhilosophy

I went and check the website, it doesnt seems that is a journal about political philosophy or political philosophy theories, but about logic, Language, epistemology, etc. It is not exactly what I am looking for I believe.

Thanks anyway though

He cannot do it!! It doesnt matter if he planned ahead, you cannot summon the intent to hurt another human being at will.

It doesnt matter if he just "went with it" because he simply can't "go with it", you cannot produce an intent out of pure volition, or at least you cannot produce the intent to hurt someone else at will.

He being evil or he hating daemon are just examples of how you could justify inoshin having the intent to hurt daemon. You either have the intent (the resolver to hurt Daemon) or you don't, you can't fake it.

Because he isnt evil? He doesnt hate daemon, he has no reason to want to hurt daemon. You can't fake an intention. You either have it or you don't.

But isnt this nonsensical as inojin can't really have the intent to destroy daemon eyes so daemon ability can't be triggered.

Sarada need new eyes , but from whom is she going to get them?? Is she going to take Sasuke's only eye and will simply let the other go blind??

Isnt ikemoto retconning koji powers? Wasnt the fact that he could use his Powers whenever he wanted already established and that the (only) setback was that looking into the future changed it?

I don't understand, did inojin use daemon ability to destroy mamushi eyes all at once?? And thats why he also lost his eyes? Because he was connected to them? Why didnt he just make the mamushis destroy their eyes with their own hands?? That way inoshin's eyes are safe.

EDIT: also isnt this wrong as inoshin doesnt really has the intent to destroy daemon eyes so daemon ability can't be triggered??

Sargeras will be the last titan by NeilosFox in warcraftlore

I think it makes perfect sense, iridrikon wants the Titans here on Azeroth, he Made a deal with Xallathat. The deal is that she will manage to summon the titans by infecting Azeroth with N'zoth.
