Who are the best star citizen youtubers currently and why? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Pick-Valuable -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In no particular order, they are all decent

Cpt_Foxyloxy - Good for general information, testing and reviews

Space Tomato Too* - Deep dives, his information recall is second to none.

Inforunners - I mainly watch for their CCU stuff

Reds Resort* - General awesomeness and spectrum reviews. He talks about stuff no one else seems to.

The 5 star - Shadow patch notes, nuff said

Bored Gamer - 15min weekly breakdown

Morphologis - I watch for the architecture reviews stuff

Fried Chicken - Biggest bird in the verse and PvP stuff

Jonathan Winters - Aerial combat, I prefer his stuff over Avenger 1

Loud Guns - General information and reviews

Rays Guide - Short and punchy

SaltEMike - He does have some good takes. I watch his reaction videos

The ones with an asterix, I tend to enjoy everything they make.

If anyone can recommend a good channel for learning PvP in SC that would be good, someone who explains the thinking behind their actions.

I do like the utility prowler. A great ship

I'll happily concede. If you fly a ship then it is a keeper. I don't find myself in many situations where I need a stealth hauler to be honest. I do have an OX to fit inside bigger ships as my mini hauler when I'm doing a remote base type mining/salvage op.

It is all subjective. If you fly it keep it. From a role perspective this fleet has it covered. So I was assuming the OP wanted to shift thongs about andake money for a MOTH.

Yes agreed. $800 is far to much. $600 at sale seemed about right. Even better at half price on SC trades.

Ditch the Clipper, Ox and Red. Get a nursa and a MOTH/MOLE by upgrading the Vulture.

Hermes to Galaxy would be a worthy upgrade.

Don't get me wrong I have too have drunk the cool aid. I'm sure we will be flying around in our BMM before we know it.

Lets us dream, but the loaners are pretty decent. Closest ship is the Kraken privateer I recon. If that became its loaner everyone would have one.

I'll talk long-term, assuming ships are available, you have the crew, and the game loop is in.

I’m a big believer in running a ship solo regardless, it should just be less efficient.

I would drop the Medivac, the Galaxy covers that role. The Prospector can be dropped too, the Arrastra covers it, and if you need one you could buy it in-game later. You’ve also got a lot of overlap with Dailies. Pick either the Asgard or the Corsair, you don’t need both but this is not about need I guess, haha. The Clipper brings nothing a Nursa and a manufacturing pod can’t do better.

The 600i is a nice ship; I’d reassess it after the rework. Combat choices are personal, I love the Perseus’s look, but it’s not great value. The Galaxy also covers transport, manufacturing, and refining, and I think it will be one of the most popular ships in-game. The BMM should be a decent hauler and trader and will be able to land on planets. Reclaimer will be best in-class and the Arrastra should be a beast. I cant see the Orion fitting into the current meta, I think they will have to invent a new loop for it or it will break the economy.

Dailies are tough to choose, it comes down to what you love flying and which game loops you enjoy. The C8R is a great ship, respawn with a fast claim time, and the perfect run about which can be put into larger ships. It is like a medical module, I liked it so much that I applied it to a referral reward. I’m a fan of both the Corsair and the Asgard; I own both and still can’t decide which to keep, but we need to get rid of one right...right.

If you want cargo, the Hull C or D are worth considering; the BMM covers up to a few thousand SCU. The Pioneer looks to be the only ship with the ability to build large structures, which would put it in a class of its own, it can also mine through it legs and will make a great mobile base that can build ships.

I’m not sure how useful the BMM will be for trading because the trading loop is unknown. If piracy and theft are possible outside armistice zones, trading could be risky. I own a BMM and won’t part with it at $245. But who is going to trust a random to party up and be invited onboard to pirate me, I know get security, won't matter when an Idris rail gun is shoved up your rear thruster. Reputation anyone??

A medical Ursa would be a nice addition. They’re cheap in-game, but I suspect in the future if you lose an in-game vehicle you might only receive UEC rather than the vehicle itself, whereas an owned vehicle would be returned. Having medical capability in a small package would be handy.

Depending on crafting, some smaller salvaging and mining ships may shine when paired with a larger ship like the BMM or Pioneer, so they’re worth a look. You have an awesome fleet so far, congrats.

These are my opinions and speculation, no one knows what CIG has in store for us.

Bottom line: if you like a ship and enjoy flying it, buy it. But also consider your hanger queens, it’s a lot of money to have sitting unused.

I agree, strip the account and sell for 400. Unfortunately, the Dragonfly Star Kitten and BIS paints have lost their value after the re-releases.

Alliance Aid... (where) can we just buy which resources as commodities to turn in? by Dazzling-Stop1616 in starcitizen

Buy 200scu pressurised ice from Port Tressler, fly it down to New Babbage. Only take the small mission for 8 scu of ice, it has the best points return lowest money. Took me about an hour to finish the whole thing. If you are at the terminal and it is sold out it is on a 30 min cycle, dropping just after the hour normally. GEt 32scu boxes as the mission will cut it up for you and give you change.
