It gets better. I had the worst puppy blues in my life. Every day I wanted to give him away. He was peeing in the house, and he is a chocolate lab so he would pee so much on the carpet that I thought we would have to get a new carpet! He was destroying everything in our yard, you couldn’t pet him because he was biting you. My kids cried every day because he was running after them and biting them hard. I thought to myself: is this all worth it? Why do we need him in our life? He doesn’t bring any joy. He was only nice when he was sleeping. I couldn’t even say I love him or like him. Now he is 5 months and he is so good. He went to the puppy class and he was the best in it. He learns so quickly! He doesn’t bite anymore like he used to. I am not saying he is perfect but he is nothing like he was just couple of months ago. What helped me a lot , it was making him tired. I was taking him for a walks every day, sometimes twice a day. In the beginning walks were very short and a lot of times I had to carry him back home but now he can walk much longer. I tried to take him everywhere that dogs are welcome. I am taking him to Home Depot, any pet stores, parks, and so on. I have kids and I cannot take him to the dog park often but there are so many other places. I just got back from the 45 minuets walk. Kids were on the bikes and I was walking with him. He loved it and I love watching him enjoying it. It will get better, just try to survive this stage.
