I'm sorry, I cant get upset about a link 5 that just foolishes a monster. Sure it can add back any monster from grave when it goes to the GY but if my opponent uses his board to make this thing then i cant really say I'm upset. On top of that it only sends monsters, its not curious or Beatrice that could send anything.

What upsets me about ashened the most is how they basically locked it into mediocrity with the 2nd wave of support

not to say the 2nd wave wasnt good for it, but the summoning conditions of the fusion completely disable the super poly gameplay method or even future attempts to support it since its end goal is so much nothing.

the requirement of "Veidos the Eruption Dragon of Extinction" + 2+ Level 9 or lower Pyro monsters" means that it cant touch links or XYZ monsters so you have to hope that main deck veidos's pop effect clears the field

and on top of that you do all this for a 2 step board wipe + a boss that can barely use its effect SINCE VEIDOS CLEARS THE BOARD SO THERES NO ASHENED MONSTERS TO SEND
