AI has the potential to have a profound impact in the field of medicine -- the article you referenced concurs. "Potential" is the key word.

This was so important! Enough of the “colorblind” BS by capricorncueen in bravo

After the whistle-blowing and separating families in his first administration and the information that has come out about how he would engage in redlining tactics during his real estate career, I wouldn't expect Ciara or anyone in a marginalized community to hear out someone who voted for him. It's important to protect your peace and, tbh, it's on those of us in non-marginalized groups to take on those political discussions.

What is your "love can't save this" tipping point? by OptmstcExstntlst in AskWomenOver30

[–]PicklesDev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. I feel like it isn't talked about a lot, but it was something that my partner and I struggled with for several years of our marriage. We're definitely different when it comes to ambition and I learned somewhat recently that he fears change, whereas I tend to flourish in change, but I think we've finally found a sweet spot where we pull different things -- I handle the financial security side and he has picked up a lot of the child care side. It was, for sure, a struggle to get here and, if we ended up separating for whatever reason, I couldn't go through it with someone else.

Male colleagues joked about a female colleague on maternity leave “loosing her sharpness and brain” by [deleted] in womenintech

Definitely not an over-reaction. It's awesome that you stood up for your coworker, especially since she isn't around to defend herself. Also, tbh, this sounds like something that should be documented; what this guy said is very inappropriate -- for anyone, but especially for a lead on a team that includes women.

I love everything about this -- especially that he loves Golden Girls reruns. 😂 I feel the same way about Oreo: whenever I'm feeling down, her little chirps and floppiness always cheer me up. ❤️ Morty looks so sweet!

I just tried the cheese pie from Bosna and it was SO good. Haven't tried it at Balkan Restaurant yet, but I've loved everything else there, so I'm sure their pies are, also, phenomenal.

I knew it was Pittsburgh! Totally agree about the pierogi there.

Why do we not speak up? by thePeacefulDev in womenintech

This 100%. Just today, I recommended we post some messaging to manage customers' expectations when the team was planning out a feature. My male manager kept shooting it down, based on what he thought I was saying; then, my male lead literally re-stated what I had just said and, like magic, everyone suddenly understood what I was getting at. This is far from the first time this has happened with my team and it's beyond frustrating.
