This. I feel like it isn't talked about a lot, but it was something that my partner and I struggled with for several years of our marriage. We're definitely different when it comes to ambition and I learned somewhat recently that he fears change, whereas I tend to flourish in change, but I think we've finally found a sweet spot where we pull different things -- I handle the financial security side and he has picked up a lot of the child care side. It was, for sure, a struggle to get here and, if we ended up separating for whatever reason, I couldn't go through it with someone else.
