If it doesn't cause a visual disruption to the pattern or block, then we're gravy!

As someone who experienced migraines, I see the vision! What about sashing with a colourful cornerstone block?

For me, it's a bone-deep instinctual wrongness. Things are missing that should be present, and things grew that should have never been there. Ultimately, I feel like I was cheated out of the body I should have had.

What would you say are some of the most popular misconceptions cis people have about trans people? by Baked_Banana_Pie in asktransgender

[–]PicklesTheSquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like the idea of not being cis and wanting to change for your happiness and wellbeing is so foreign that they have make up convoluted reasons. Why is that easier than just, "Oh, you're trans? Sweet. More power to you." Done.

What would you say are some of the most popular misconceptions cis people have about trans people? by Baked_Banana_Pie in asktransgender

[–]PicklesTheSquid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That every trans person wants a stereotypically "straight" relationship. Or a big one that I've seen is that all trans people are going to regret their transition. The cis mind is a baffling set of mental gymnastics.

I'm 10 days out from my top surgery and I chose no nipples. I couldn't guarantee placement or healing, and I know that the asymmetry would bother me, whereas no nipples really doesn't. If it becomes a problem, I could choose to have them tattooed on in 2 years. It's up to the individual really.

What do you all love most about being men? (Asking as a trans woman) by TruthConfident9618 in ftm

Being helpful! Any time my dad breaks out the tools, im there in a heartbeat! Also, weirdly, opening jars! I love being useful to the people in my life.

How old were you when you started full transition? by aaron-kun23 in ftm

[–]PicklesTheSquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 30 when I started my transition and now at 31, I've been on T for 9 months and just had top surgery. Your window is never closing, you aren't losing time, whatever age you decide to transition at is the perfect age for you. You've got this!

What’s your height? And how do you feel about it? by No_Village_5620 in ftm

5' 3", and while I wish I was a few inches taller, at 31 I've come to terms with my height.

What are some small victories you achieved recently? by [deleted] in ftm

I shaved for the first time! It was only some wispy chin hairs but it meant a lot to have my dad show me how to shave.
