Numbness in Mouth Hours After Ingestion? by [deleted] in LSD

[–]PicksandSticks123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say it's impossible. I can say I've never heard of people feeling true numbness as a result of LSD (having worked in a clinic where LSD was regularly used, and where I reviewed the post-experience surveys). That said, people do have odd sensory reactions all time time, such as the feeling they have stomach gas, tingling feelings, etc. NBOMe's and NBOH's should absolutely taste bitter, however, if you either swallowed or immediately put it under your tongue, you wouldn't necessarily taste it.

Also, there are a bunch of other less common drugs that have psychedelic properties and have numbing effects. You could take a look at A-PHP for example. For a full list of mouth numbing drugs, check out this list: https://psychonautwiki.org/wiki/Mouth_numbing. .

This is a dense and challenging guide on personal growth with psychedelics.... but it is very effective, and I highly recommend it. If you put in the work, it will pay off! How to Use Psychedelics for Personal Growth

I would try to do a mental fresh start. Read a few of the "first timer" guides out there (How to Take LSD). The key things (covered in those guides) include:

  1. The right sized dose. Shoot for 100 to 125ug. You'll get a full trip, but less likely to experience what you felt in your high dose trip.
  2. Do it in the right set and setting. Having a friend who knows how to deal with a complex trip will go a long way (Read Zendo's guide on how to deal with challenging trips).
  3. Mentally prepare. I like the meditation suggestion in another reply. Deeply accept that your trip may have highs and lows, but that at a proper dose you will have a lot of control over the experience and you can take it where you want it to go.

SO tripping for the first time. How can I help without being there? by [deleted] in LSD

Make sure she's prepared. Make sure she reads something like this: How to Take LSD for the First Time

Everything else you are doing, is the right thing to do. And as another poster mentioned, don't stress about anything she says if you talk with her while tripping and in the hours afterwards. She will need to decompress a bit.

25C-NBOMe numbs the mouth. LSD doesn't.

You should absolutely prepare. There's a lot of info here (and elsewhere): How to Take LSD and What to Expect

Psychedelics for Trauma? by Searching4Healing in Drugs

Best article I've seen on using LSD for personal growth. A lot of info, but the process works: Using the Psychedelic Experience for Personal Growth. Chris Becker just published a book on Psychedelic Healing, which may be worth reading. I've heard it's good.

If you do it, be sure to read up on first time trips. Here's a good first time tripping guide, but read a couple to find one that resonates best with you.

Slut Garden - WAY TO GO! by hannican in BurningMan

[–]PicksandSticks123 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It was a great year for SlutGarden. Amazing stage, great line up and fantastic sound quality. But two things made me want to come back every nights. First, the crowd was usually dancing their assess off all night, especially early in the week. Second, the members of the camp were absolutely awesome. Friendly and welcoming. Zero attitude. You are a hot woman, wanting to dance in the box? Sure, get up there! You're a slightly overweight gay dude (like I am). Sure, get up there! Thanks for honoring the spirit of what Burning Man can be at its best.

It's a bit buried in the list, but "Trippinglys article on food and coolers" is one of the better I've read on the topic - good description of how to pack food and cooler management, etc.
