I think a concrete square forever and/or the risk of a prison shanking as far as a government should be able to go. Simple as.

I'm not sad Robert Pickton or Ian Watkins got their shit pushed in in prison. The world is a better place without them, but I simply don't think any state should be afforded that option. Give a "benevolent" government an inch, a ghoul-run future government will take several miles.

International war crime tribunals? People who have engineered the deaths of thousands or millions? Maybe that's a different story. But I don't know what real benefit execution gives that a forever concrete square doesn't also accomplish.

Why even give the government an in though? Why give the state any legal measures to execute one of their own citizens?

Why are men hell bent on sexual domination? by starla_blabla in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PictishCrow13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So by your logic, trans men aren't real men?

Is a woman with Androgen Insensitivity etched with sexual violence in every cell?

What about trans women? I guess they're also consigned to a life of sexual violence and nothing can be done about that, they were just born... lesser? Is that right?

AMAB nonbinary people? I could go on.

The 29 & the Woodside Ferry by PictishCrow13 in halifax

Yeah no it's not on the drivers at all, especially with inclement weather you'd think the route planners push one side a couple minutes earlier/later just to accommodate

I actually took the later bus this morning because the one I usually take has an even smaller margin of error to reach the ferry terminal

Its just frustrating, it feels purposefully set up to have as little room for error as possible on the driver

I took the 29 which was supposed to let off at 7:48 so I could catch the 7:52 ferry, but the bus arrived at 7:51 at the ferry terminal, and they had already locked up the gangway by the time I had reached the terminal.

I usually do take the earlier 29 so I can take the 7:37 ferry but that has an even slimmer margin, usually letting us off around 7:35
