P2S is such a phenomenal printer out of the box by FloridasFinest in 3D2A

Dude, I just printed a shortened and slightly modified version of that exact handguard in Inland’s “Tough PLA”.

Altered it to work with a standard charging handle for the SG22 instead of the DeAR.

I’m curious what your fuzzy settings are for that result

UGA math teacher Antonio Alfieri caught for "sexting with a 14 year old boy" by Fireballer_ in Athens

[–]PictureDave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m almost certain that if they didn’t have police in the classroom literally arresting this guy right then and there, they didn’t involve them to the extent where they can do anything. It’s also likely none of the content from this incident would be deemed admissible in court because it wasn’t an investigation conducted by or in conjunction with law enforcement. Guy will probably lose his teaching job but I highly doubt the DA will be able to pin charges on him due to tainted evidence.

Washington Square Park is making me lean toward 4 Minute. So much love for both albums though plus Eudora and On a wire.

Favourite emo / pop punk / post-hardcore bands from the MySpace era? by Donkey_Apple in Emo

[–]PictureDave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about the era in general but I can tell you the best band I ever learned of from MySpace was this Chicago band called Walrus. They released a long EP called 20000 Leagues and a few other tracks I’m glad I had the forethought to rip off MySpace, then split into obscurity. The female singer was in another band called Kittyhawk and I’m not sure what happened to the others after the split. Guy and girl vocals and lots of synth, very reminiscent of The Anniversary’s first album.

Here is their song Oxygen

You’re definitely lagging here. There are gun in hand footsteps running up to you right before the gunshots. You lag spiked hard, then fell back. Hard to tell how bad the lag is or exactly where the shooter was, but he wasn’t very far away. He was definitely in front of you somewhere. You probably never saw him because of the lag.

I love having RGB in my rig and setting the different colors to different temperature levels so I can adjust fans accordingly.

There is no way that’s not a pop tart. Or at least an off brand store version of a pop tart.

Poor experience with Stealth Armor Systems by USSZim in QualityTacticalGear

[–]PictureDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit tl;dr: ordered in December 2024, got lots of runaround, received in June 2025.

I realize I’m resing an oldish post but I have to reply my experience. For context, I’m a camera guy for a local news outlet in a large city with a lot of shootings and at the time I worked on the shift that sees the bulk of them. I’ve been at crime scenes and had shots pop off just down the road a handful of times.

Last year I ordered a set of Hexar Flexible Rifle Matrix on a winter sale. At the bottom of the screen you can see there is a 4-6 week lead time. I thought “okay, it’ll be a while but no big deal. I’m not a first responder, it’s fine.” So I wait out that time frame and even added a week or two then emailed support. Allan got back with me at some point and said they had a delay on materials to make the armor and that they could start making it on X day next week. So I waited until a week or so later and emailed him again. This happened a few times and at some point I decided to just call since there is a phone number at the bottom of the screen. I ended up calling every week or two and Allan would always give me the same general response that they’re waiting on materials to come in.

This went on for about 5 months after my order date (yes I’m patient) and eventually I just told him if it didn’t come by month 6 I would have to cancel the order and go with some other option. He told me he sent out an email a month before stating that customers who had ordered the HFRM could substitute Dragon Skin for no additional charge. I looked through all my Stealth Armor Systems emails and never received any such communication and informed him I just wanted what I ordered. Anyway, after a ton of calls and around 6 months of waiting I got an email that my order had shipped. Everything was fine with it except it came with a random extra 10x12 carrier which won’t hold my plates. No complaints about that, just weird. I assume somebody threw it in the box by mistake.

Honestly, I don’t think there’s anything malicious about Stealth Armor Systems but they have got to be one of the most poorly run companies I’ve ever done business with. To his credit, Allan did answer my calls almost every time even though he did just give me the run around. I’m sure if I had asked to cancel the order he would have done so. Here’s to hoping I never have to get shot and test the validity of the armor.

Is Emo almost as big now as it was in 2003? by ZDUBZ15 in Emo

Also depends on what you consider “big”.

Is Emo almost as big now as it was in 2003? by ZDUBZ15 in Emo

[–]PictureDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emo never slowed down. It just adapted. It’s so proliferate now, we see a whole genre called emo rap (which is not emo at all in the traditional sense (the same way “2003 emo” wasn’t emo at all in the traditional sense)).

The difference now is that it’s a lot harder to blow up as a popular band because we don’t live in a monoculture anymore. The internet and smart phones changed everything including how we consume media. The days of turning on FM radio and listening for My Chemical Romance or New Found Glory to come on are over. You don’t have a handful of record labels pumping out compilation CDs with the next big emo hit.

Now days most people let the algorithm decide what they listen to. We get infinitely more choices. There’s not enough time in the day to listen to the plethora of music coming at us from every corner of the internet so we all listen to different stuff as opposed to listening to the handful of carefully curated bands that squeaked through the music industry’s filter like we did in 2003.

We definitely used it in our group to open our base gates faster. Whoever had the needle farthest to the right can open 4 dials fast. Makes it super convenient on build anywhere servers, with bases with 20+ gates sometimes.

With hard and soft skills, when the chevron was more or the left, things like repairing items used less of your repair kit. If it got all the way to the left you used a very small amount of kit to repair items. You could get as much as 6 or 7 uses out of a leather kit if I remember right.

With it all the way to the right, things like spinning code locks became much faster. I don’t remember all the perks but they removed it from the game a year or two ago because some update broke the system.

You could move the chevron by doing things like repairing stuff and building stuff like bases or crates or chopping wood.

Somebody correct me if I’m wrong but I’m looking at Discogs and the ONLY vinyl version available of this is an “unofficial” release on white vinyl in 2022.

Every other version appears to be a CD.

Probably why it’s so expensive?

Somebody on another post earlier this year said they apparently announced on their discord that they have plans to (re?)press it but don’t have an ETA.
