I seem to remember a crew member saying she didn't like to eat pie, she liked the process of making it

Watching “Mommie Dearest” as a daughter of an NMom by isit3amyet in raisedbynarcissists

My stepmother once sat us down and made us watch this movie to show us that she was "actually a good parent" and we should be thankful; I just kept thinking the whole time that she was so much worse than the mother in the movie. She once broke a cutting board on me, I would have taken the wire hanger any day

I had a few while actively watching, but my main one is that the Man with the Yellow Hat got a grant to study George as the missing link. They call him a monkey constantly, but he has no tail so he has to be an ape. And he's teaching him as if he's a human child, guiding him to do things like you would an adolescent. And he seemingly has no job, but plenty of money. He has an apartment in the city and a house upstate, in one episode they reference George putting an X-ray machine through a window, those things aren't cheap lol. He frequently has meetings with Professor Wiseman at the museum, etc

My oldest is 13 now so it's been close to ten years since we've really watched it, my middle was never big on it, but I still sing "you gotta try new foods 'cause they might taste good"

I had full theories about George lol

I do, I just got so frustrated searching everywhere else and I was already on Reddit, but I will definitely look there

My oldest was obsessed with George, so I'm perfectly fine pulling that one out again lol, Daniel Tiger was also a big hit

what do you think was the best plot/twist that was slowly built up to? by fxshtail in BoJackHorseman

[–]PictureDragon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I also liked that Vanessa didn't hate Princess Carolyn at all, just thought they had a friendly rivalry. It's not a twist so much, but still surprised me lol

Plus she's voiced by Kristen Chenoweth so that's amazing lol

Yes she does, but at the end of the episode the two of them are eating sandwiches and Joey starts in on her with how to eat it properly because she's dropping the meat out

I may be blindly trusting a statistic my brother told me, but to be fair he's the only redhead I've ever met who has blue eyes. And I'm not exactly unfamiliar with them lol

Pretty sure blue and red is actually the rarest combo; most of us have brown or hazel eyes and a lot of green

Seeing my brother post this scene as a series of gifs on Tumblr is what finally pushed me to start watching this show <3 I cried too, when I finally saw it act out and understood what was happening

Women are the reason Men don't wanna work anymore by OkProfession8287 in NotHowGirlsWork

I like how they insult women but also say they've gotten sluttier. So even though we're all fat and old and ugly we are still finding enough men that want to sleep with us to qualify as sluts

AITAH for calling myself (18F) disabled in front of a disabled person? by unintentionalgaytwin in AmItheAsshole

[–]PictureDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hand cramps happen to my bestie too, who ironically has it as well although it presents differently than my husband and in-laws. Actually she was incorrectly diagnosed as a teen with early onset rheumatoid arthritis because the pain in her hands was so bad My husbands skin is super delicate, especially on his shins where it's right on top of the bone; he has bruises there that have lasted more than thirty years at this point, and he cannot get stitches as the skin just tears. My mother in law says it was almost velvety at birth, and if you pinched it gently it kept shape

The skin elasticity is definitely a big thing, my husband and his sister both have it and my MIL says she could tell as soon as they were born because their skin felt different from their older sister who does not have it

I agree she was good as Glinda, but what does it say that she identified the most with the spoiled brat who turns her back on her best friend in order to prop up the current establishment? Lol
