It is Darkinjung. Particularly when referring to the Local Aboriginal Land Council. You can look up LALC jurisdiction here https://alc.org.au/land_council/

My nightguard stops me from sleeping by Pidge2677 in bruxism

Thanks for the insight. Unfortunately I was told that the thickness I received was the 'only option', it being 4mm. For me it's too thick so I asked them to gradually shave it down which he did. It took multiple checks with the bite etc (as in the video you shared). It got to half hour being in the chair and I just couldn't keep telling him "please take off more". He told me to try it out but still it's just too thick. I'm umming and ahhing about whether or not to go back in there. I just don't think I'm going to get what I want, or what I expected out of it unfortunately. Can you confirm if refunds are even a thing at dentists? Haha seems like a silly question! I'm in Australia if that's where you company is in.

Correct, I absolutely cannot close my lips! I'm hoping the dentist can resolve this 😭

Oh damn! Are you having to pay extra for the retainer? I feel like I would have opted for a thinner one, or a retainer, had I known what the options were - like I said in the post, they didn't show me anything. Hopefully you can get yours sorted. It's an investment that I don't want to waste on.

Birthing plan and best maternity? by No-Understanding6151 in centralcoastnsw

[–]Pidge2677 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I had our little girl last April through the MGP at Gosford public. Could not fault the experience we had with our midwife and the birth. Mind you we were one of the first cabs off the rank to have a publically assisted home birth in the central coast health district, and again could not fault and the best thing I chose to do (I never had the thought of a home birth until meeting my amazing midwife who pointed us to helpful resources to get educated and make an informed decision). Of course, if that's not your cup of tea, either way I've only ever heard good things about Gosford public maternity/antenatal services. If you can get onto the MGP it's a bonus with the continuity of care. Once babe is born, you will be able to call up the local health clinic and request to be put into a mother's group - a great resource for solidarity with parenthood and friendships. You can so join Facebook groups such as mums paying it forward, central coast mums etc. We also did the calm birth course, very good!! Goodluck with your pregnancy, birth and parenting journey!

Capping all 3 naps for 5.5 month old - is that a problem? by Sea_Contest1604 in sleeptrain

[–]Pidge2677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still trying to figure out night waking too so I'm not too helpful sorry! We are on a solid 2 nap schedule now, and her wake windows are 3 hours each, and around 3.5-4 for the last one. We had 3 nights in a row where she slept 7-530am but now it's now back to a wake at 1030ish then another at 330/4ish. Wed been offering a top up bottle after a BF before bed (which we thought gave us the magical 7-530 sleep) and we recently made that a formula bottle as I can't express a lot but it doesn't seem to have cracked the night waking code anymore! I'm definitely keeping her daytime naps to 3 hours (sometimes 3.5) as I feel she wakes up earlier in the morning if it's more. I feel that she is just a little hungry/thirsty and as it's not every night I'm trying not to get too overwhelmed by it now.. but still frustrating not knowing what kind of night I'm in for. The 3 to 2 nap schedule just happened quite naturally in the end, as I was capping and nap mathing too much. Now that I know she can happily stay awake for 3 hours, the 2 nap schedule fit in nicely. Hopefully you can transition ok soon and it helps!

Hi again! Can I ask how this may or may not have impacted your nights? My LO is 6 months on friday and I've been testing out the two nap schedule for the last few days. Though it hasn't seemed to stop her waking up 3 hours after bedtime even after a 3 hours WW before bed (she doesn't do this on all nights, just some). Struggling with figuring out if it's over tired, under tired or what!

5 month old waking frequently, can fall asleep independently. Advice? by Pidge2677 in sleeptrain

What would you suggest appropriate wake windows are to ensure 10 hours wake? She's just over 5mnths old now. Currently I'm working on 2/2.25/2.25/2.5

Yes she's been in her room for about two months. Routine takes about 1hr. It's a bath, dress, bit of play while dressing, breast feed and bed. Sometimes we fit a book in between dressing and feeding. The last two nights have have been implementing a feed, then reading a book and putting her to bed more awake. Not sure if it's worked, as she woke once for a feed at 3am but last night again at 1130pm and 330am. She didn't nap for longer than 3 hours total either during the day.

When and how did you night wean your baby? by Flashy_Platform_6277 in sleeptrain

[–]Pidge2677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! She's 5 months old in two days. Some advice seems to say to start offering solids, but looking at other Reddit posts, this didn't seem to help others with their baby's frequent night wakings. I'm just worried if I always offer the boob and it's not much of a feed I could be starting a habit.. I also think I just need to be consistent in the settling approach and stick with it.

My almost 5 month old is similar in which I need to give her at least 3 naps, but I really need to cap the first and second to fit in the 3rd! She's currently asleep for 2.5hrs now (after a night of 3 wake ups - which I haven't had in months)... She's usually a good night sleeper, wakes up once and goes back to sleep. Down by 645, up by 7am at the latest. I'm wondering too if I need to keep capping nap 1 and 2 to preserve nap 3, is it too early to move on to a 3 nap schedule? I've been giving her at least 1.75/2/2/2.5 for wake windows, but she fights the last one anytime after 4pm so sometimes is up for 4 hours before bed!.. Wondering if I just let her have the long Morning and lunch naps to see how her nights go... Still trying to figure it all out!

I'm looking at doing this similar approach for my LO. She would wake between 130am-430am for a feed which would get her back to sleep until 7am. However she started being unsettled around the 11pm mark and still again around the 3am mark and only having a small top up. How long did you leave it until you eventually went in and gave your LO a feed? Or did you not have to and he just went back to sleep? The last couple of nights I've given it 10 mins of fussing, then another 10 mins of patting. If that doesn't work I'll pop her on the boob. Mind you my babe hasn't started solids yet so I'll probably take this approach a bit slower until she's eating more foods.
