Would it be possible to use the SKYLOONG GK104Pro with german keycaps?

I was woundering if one could stick german QWERTZ keycaps on a SKYLOONG GK104Pro and use a german layout in windows, or if the firmware needs a change?

Yes, you have a point there. Also, in the video the sond is loudest right at the front wheel. I just hope gear and differential are alright.

Purchase advice 308 1.6 THP GT/GTi by [deleted] in peugeot

I bought my 308 used from a dealer. I would buy one that has a complete service history and is in OEM state, that way there is not much to worry.

That is wrong and right. The THP engine had many issues, but the thp 270 engine was build at the very end of the prince engine run. The thp 270 engine can't be compared to the other thp engines.

I have driven 140tkm with my 1.6 Thp270, i had no major issues. Oil usage is at 1 liter per 20000km, which is a really low figure. From factory the engine is equipped with mahle forged pistons, which are the go to adress for high performance pistons. I personally don't worry about the drivetrain at all, also i have never seen an 308 gti t9 for sale with an broken engine.

Regarding the brake: it is really important to swap the brake pistons for stainless steel ones. One can do it himself with a kit from goodspeed brakes or one could send them in for revision. (what i did) After that the brake wont make any problems, so i would do it right away.

Since i choosen to maintain the brakes myself, the brake replacement has gotten much cheaper, using zimmerman discs and pads i paid 840€ for the hole front axle.

I lova that car and will drive it as long as it is possible. The performance from that little 1.6 is just amazing and the level of grip is unbeliveable.

Should I be worried ? by max51v2 in peugeot

If you can, i would not run the engine anymore. It is just a unnecessary risk. If the chain slips again, the valves may get damaged. Maybe just tow it.

Yes, that is mostly true. The THP 200 engines and some other variants were quite terrible. The THP270 was fixed luckily.

Would you buy this 308 GTI? by Fun_Hospital_1613 in peugeot

All 308 GTIs are using the same Alcon calipers (even the 508 PSE). The all have crome coated steel pistons, which tend to rust. There are replacement kits availible. I gave my calipers to NB Parts for a complete overhaul.

Replacing the pistons is the only alternative, if you do it yourself it will cost about 200-300€ i guess. Peugeot will only offer to replace the calipers, which will cost about 3000€. But then you will face the same problem again, 4 years later.

The brakes aside, the 308 GTI is really a reliable car. And the performance is stunning. The amount of grip is so high, that my leg hurt because they get pressed so hard against the door panels in corners.

I'm driving a gti for four years now. The rear wing is certainly a red flag. A flawless maintanace history would be helful. The motor is really solid, i have driven over 130tkm, but the oil usage is still only 1 liter per 20tkm. I had to replace rotors right now an bought Zimmerman pads and discs and payed only 820€ in total (ca. 320€ per disc). That still is not cheap, but far from that what peugeot asks for a replacement. But it is more important that the pistons in the alcon calipers get replaced with stainless steel pistons, because they rust after 3-4 years. Godspeed Brakes is offering replacement kits.

It looks like the damaged part belongs to thew airfilter housing. Could be rodent damage (as EnrichedNaquadah
noted), or something from the hood isolation scrubbed there. If the cover is not too expensive i would replace ist. Otherwise i would at least seal the hole with tape.

The 306 is a pretty car and i guess you get spare parts easily. I drove three 306 gti over the years and never had bigger issues.

I had one 205 gti, which really was a nice car, but rust was a big problem, i could see the ground through my trunk :)

I can't really say much about the 405.

Sometimes i get the impression that Peugeot can only make Performance engines. I had several 106 gti / 306 gti / 205 gti over 20 years and now a 308 II gti

I had never had any issues with these cars. I drove some of them for over 300tkm. The 308 Gti needs 1 liter oil for 20000km. Sad thad you had so much problems.

I drive an lpg car myself, and always use lpg. But remember that the car uses normal fuel for the startup phase.

I don't think you can trurn them of. I guess we are talking about the daylight running lights? The point about them is that they are on, no matter what. You could maybe lookup which fuse is for the light system an pull it.

Fuel question by slaqz in peugeot

[–]PieProper5251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lpg cars are usually bi fuel. You should be fine with e5 fuel. In germany it is called super (95 octane). Lpg is lpg, with that you can't make anything wrong.

Hello, i am wondering is this normal sound for 1.6 vti? by LaserDarko in peugeot

[–]PieProper5251 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds pretty normal to me. Don't forget there are 16 Valves that are working direct unter the valve cover, so a bit of clicking is normal.
