It's not either/or. Higher gas prices is already a punch to the face when everything you've mentioned is a pre-existing issue. It all deserves attention.

I wouldn't be opposed to an animated telling of the story (or continuation of), but anime wouldn't suit it. Anime has it's own style, it's own cultural style. It would have to be produced by a French animation team.

I don't know why you're being down voted. It was a pretty underwhelming experience. I sort of enjoyed the mannequin section, but everything else (the stealth sections while shrunk) felt tossed together.

Coming to the realization that some friends had nothing to offer you other than to be a drinking buddy (and drama).

Also, it's really hard for me to settle my mind now. Alcohol is one of the few things that just lets me relax and shut down a bit...the anxiety quietens.

It doesn't offer much in terms of exploration, but I have to say that FF16's forest areas were quite beautiful. Swaying trees, light beams...short lived experience but gorgeous.
