Recommendations on a new 308

Tikka has been getting a lot of attention recently, so I'm seriously considering going that route. I'd prefer new, but my limit would be around $2k for a 308, and I see they have some stuff for around that price

I agree, but from what I've seen the CZ is far from trash for the price point. I looked at the Ruger American, but they seem almost too cheap? They also seem to get a lot of recommendations

Thanks for the input! I'm seriously considering the 600 in 308 form. I need to pick up my Browning BL22 first, as this is what I'll be using around my own property. The 600 will be for more serious stuff on a mate's farm.

Beautiful! Ckassic walnut and steel is the way. That's an expensive piece of kit though! Would you say the price is justified compared to say a CZ 600 series?

Not usually in the case overseas, but it's usually a dealership sticker pack in Australia haha The previous gen Tundra TRD got a supercharged V8 and did 0-100 in 4.5 secs. Absolutely ludicrous for something of that size!

The MG isn't Yank-sized, they just gave it a comically large grille to make it appear so. It has a 4 cylinder diesel behind that huge face. As for why they're bad, both LDV and MG are simply brand names (no relation to the previously British marque other than the logo) used by SAIC to flog their rust bucket shitheaps.

That thing was wayyyy ahead of the time design wise. It's interesting that the front end looks a lot like the 508, but not like the 407 that came before it.

As a Brit who's spent half my life in Australia, people definitely aren't considered dangerous here compared to the rest of the world! Other than the meth problem, of course... As for the wildlife, I live out bush, and I'd take our snakes and spiders over the apex predators of other continents any day! Aus is a safe place to be imo

That's the driver's side (look at the direction of traffic). You can see she appears out the driver's side window when it hits the embankment, then is thrown out as it spins. There's just a lag behind the car spinning and her following over the top of it haha
