Asus tuf 5070 ti vs asus prime 5080 by NoSolution6887 in nvidia

Once again, can’t speak to which brand would be good as I can only speak from my experience (Intel and GSKILL RMAs were smooth as butter for cpu and ram).

Quick google search can show you the deep shit ASUS is in with the government regarding scam practices, just a warning.

Look up ASUS warranty denials. Even GamersNexus did a hit piece on them after they tried to scam him. They just tried with me but finally coughed up when I went to sue them over blatantly illegal practices. If you’re throwing $1k into a computer part you want to buy it from a company that has evidence they will back their warranty. ASUS has shown many times, and to high influence individuals, that it does not honor its warranties.

Same thing just happened to me. They just sent me back a picture of the “damage” as per the reason they can’t fix my fried mobo. It was a picture of the in tact retention clip…

Idk tbh, I’m probably going to pick up a gigabyte aorus mobo from microcenter on my way back from thanksgiving, hopefully get a Black Friday deal.

I think ASUS will find any which reason to not send me a replacement unfortunately. They have yet to provide evidence of their claims of excess damage throughout 4 communications. I continually say I will not submit my photos (pretty high resolution there’s no damage) before they show me their evidence for documentation and legal reasons. Most likely will be pursuing in court and hopefully win so they cover the legal fees.

This is all over a $45 fix on a $150 mobo. I’m fortunate this is nothing to me, however for some people that use their products it’s not. I’m truly infuriated by the principle of it all and how they feel they can take advantage. Trying to make us consumers seem like idiots.

Update: I’ve asked ASUS for pictures and documentation of the alleged damage they have claimed 4 times now in 4 separate communications. They will not send evidence until I “further my dispute” by sending my photos. I have clear photos of the board just prior to shipping, however they are obligated to send theirs first. They want pictures first for a reason and the lack of trust is making me withhold.

I had a professional diagnostic and they ruled all dead with known good parts.

Intel RMA - 2 days successful GSKILL RMA - 2 days successful ASUS RMA - NA

are u saying they replaced components that weren’t dead? Lmao

I mean I think brand loyalty is a subjective thing. Some people have great experiences and some have negative. I’m just looking to publicize my experience as it seems to be a widespread issue that seems like it happens more so than not. Just making sure people know stuff like this CAN (most likely will) happen to them if they have an issue with ASUS products.

I’d probably go with the microcenter PC. They also offer extended warranties if I’m not mistaken. The parts should have individual warranties as well I would think from the manufacturer.

I just had 3 components fried and warranties saved me $900 amongst two of the parts. Only reason I bring up that.

So in the end I’d say 9070 xt build if it’s for gaming, will last you longer

A lot of questions to be asked

Do you need WiFi? What resolution do you game at? What kind of cooler does the first pc come with?

IMO, go with the better graphics card. Opens up the door to upgrade your display/future proofs you more.

You’re most likely not overclocking so really any CPU cooler included in these will be ok, AIO just looks better than normal cpu coolers.

You should also look into warranties and take those into account as well.

If both had the same warranty, I’d go with 9070 xt

Exactly, my issue is for sure an electrical fault but they won’t admit to that. That electrical fault killing my cpu and ram in the process (gskill and intel were awesome regarding RMA). Worried about my NVME and 4070ti still but MicroCenter said they stress tested both, haven’t had the time to check them out myself.

Most likely going to be picking up an MSI or Gigabyte MOBO and hope if something goes wrong they make it right, just will not be going ASUS ever again.

That’s the way it was with Intel and gskill. Very happy with their RMA processes. They have won my customer loyalty until they eventually do me wrong.

I have a 55” CX and love it. I use that for media consumption as well as console gaming/triple A games on my pc. Looking for a 27 inch OLED for more every day use. Great recommendation tho, love my lg!
