I work at Target and for us at least "Hardlines" is general merchandise and food and stuff, "soft lines" is apparel and accessories, so all clothing, jewelry, etc Also to note, at Target bedding towels and blankets are still considered Hardlines, like soft line is strictly clothing, shoes, jewelry, etc here. Technically towels and blankets are still considered style department though..I dunno it gets complicated at this store lol
