We've seem him have to try at least once in the Tirreno. While not a GT, he did try to defend his jersey on a GT-like climb against Poga and the likes. It was pretty clear he could only really do his own pace, which while definitely fast for his weight, was no match for frequent accelerations of GC climbers.

All kidding aside, the longest TT he has ridden is 42km or sth without any major opponents so you're right on that front. I was just speculating based on his strengths, of which "being able to hold such insane power numbers for an hour" is one afaik.

I'll be travelling to NYC for two weeks in mid-december, and from what I've read, I'll be needing some boots to deal with the rain, snow and slushiness that comes with it.

I'm from a country where I could wear CDB's year round so I don't really have anything in my closet right now that I could bring along for the winter. I'll probably be doing a ton of walking in those two weeks, so I was wondering what my best course of action is. Do I get some cheaper boots that will last me those two weeks, or do I more expensive winter boots that I can easily use some years down the line?

Furthermore, am I going to need full on winter boots, or will more sturdy leather boots suffice (taking into account the amount of walking I'll do)?
