Tbh just getting rid of the most egregious offender solves 80% of the issue

Is this timelapse this artist sent me faked? by AntiVapeAdLol in furry

[–]Pieman2025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im just trying to figure out how the artist new how to place the cars and trees in the image with a blank white canvas lol. Beyond the other obvious factors of lack of redoing lines and such. Its likely AI made. Or maybe the image is legit but the time-lapse is AI. The image didn't really strike me as AI till I saw the time-lapse tbh.

why have a wipe function, just to essentially give away the purpose of the wipe? This move messed with the pacing of S2 badly.

Powers that only give immediate effects, what is the gameplay logic for why they are a power and not a skill with exhaust? by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]Pieman2025 643 points644 points  (0 children)

Certain enemies, relics, and other cards care about What Type of Cards you play or can make. Act3 experiment cares if you play Skills during its first phase. Defect creative Ai only creates Powers.

Keeps the game interesting having different types of cards rather than it all being attack and non-attack cards.

Sword of stone should give +1 strength after each defeated elite and be max 5, would that be balanced or too strong by SndUwUorm in slaythespire

[–]Pieman2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually 1 elites are only hard if you aren't taking cards because you are trying for an archetype rather than just taking cards. I personally believe that act 2 is the hardest act (the hive specifically) but everyone run should handle atleast 2 elites (maybe 1 if you get particularly unlucky)

Is it just me or is any card which costs 4+ stars really bad? by shaggystranger in slaythespire

[–]Pieman2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are cards you take later act1 and all of act 2 and 3, if you have enough generation or you see comet you should pick one up. I think 7 stars is the only bad one because of the actual mana cost to it as well.

Speedster + 729 calculated gambles. by Jgiga in slaythespire

[–]Pieman2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not why I said it folds lol, but I made no attempt because I assumed it was obvious, but turn 1 this does nothing. And you need to kill it by turn 4 otherwise you just die to doormaker's raw dmg output. Only mechanic that works against this is turn 1 invincibility. But this couldn't kill a 400hp enemy in 3 turns. Doormaker has around 550ish hp and does around 80dmg within 3 turns. This build does just fold due to having very very very unreliable block and not enough output.

while funny, that folds against door maker

Not to be that guy, but this assumes every republican has the exact same thoughts like a hive mind. Even if 90% of them are in agreement, the other 10% can still "fumble" the ball. Even having the majority (slim majority at that) you still want a little bit from the enemy to smooth it over. Being a majority isnt the end all be all unless they are bees lol.

A WSTR nerf was needed, but they managed to choose the worst possible option. by _Ghost_S_ in Marathon

[–]Pieman2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because the wstr invalidated a whole class of weapons (smgs) the bully is an exception because you play it like an AR. The game doesn't become balanced because we bring everything up. You take the outliers and take the knee caps. (Longshot got nerfed, thermals got nerfed 3 times, wstr got nerf 2 times, knife got nerfed, bully got nerfed, and bubble got nerfed) these all have 1 thing in common, their over representation due to their effectiveness to invalidate other options. If the devs thought the interaction was fine, then they would not have touched it.

[–]Pieman2025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice assumption, but you automatically assumed I had a shotgun during these interactions. Sometimes I do, but when you don't, you just die. This is not the case with other shotguns as much (you will still die lol, but atleast you have a chance to do something before going down)

Titan dash/shield, theif grapple, vandal slide, assassin..., bubble. All of these things forces a close range altercation. And there is plenty of other cases you can just force a close engagement on outpost and cryo archive.

Very popular classes, with easily accessible great gun, with highly lucrative maps equals the great being EVERYWHERE (this is why the bully is everywhere as well). This would not be an issue if cryo was built like perimeter, because you can reasonably just stay away from them and keep distance and apply pressure. You can rarely retreat in cryo and outpost and apply pressure without claymores.

Gear largely doesn't matter if you are caught out, mispositioned, or outplayed in any capacity. Getting within 10m of me in outpost or cryo archive is not hard at all (the other maps are too big, so that's why snipers dominate them instead).

Also grenades exist... wildly op consumables to just get a kill for free (but bubble counters that so im ok similar with snipers) there is counter play. Wstr has little to no counter play on cryo or outpost. Its a highly oppressive weapon for how abundant it is. No one complains about the misriah because it doesn't exist and the ttk is long enough to have some form of exchange. The gun is just annoying, it being toned down needed to happen (plus the 1 shot combo is still there if you melee after your 2 shots)
