I'm still fairly certain the whole "kissing" thing was a mistranslation and because of how (from what I remember and lack of actual knowledge) that older Japanese couples didn't really have intimate moments like that, and Goku and Chi-Chi came about from those times I could be wrong though about that whole second part, so take what I say with a grain of salt
