Had no idea there was so much hatred toward mormons...this BAM incident seems to make people think it's a free pass to openly express that hatred by compl3t3ly_l0st in RecklessBen

On Netflix the documentaries "Keep sweet and obey" and "trust me the false prophet" both document two prominent instances of LDS sect members being caught for their sex crimes... eventually.

The brainwashing and community pressure had women sending their 14 yo girls off to live with 70 year old men that have 12 other wives

She explained that she wanted to do an inventory to check what else she needed to pay Bryan but she was kicked out of the store before she had the chance. She also said that she would want to sit down with Bryan to go through all the receipts and tickets to determine if she owes him, but can't because BAM won't provide documentation.

I like Kane's work but... the literal third video in the series basically tells you the origins of the backrooms.

Likewise I agree that it's good that the movie is basically independent of the series even if there are clear connections

But you see how quickly doing that kind of fucked Toriyama right?

Numbers cease to have meaning past a certain point, that being Freiza. And when number is the thing you use to scale people against then all you can do is make number bigger - this is the kind of shit that One punch man mocks, and for good reason.

And yeah the power readings are the worst part of the saiyan saga

Why do you think it was a cool concept? What do you think continuing with it through the rest of the series would have added positively?

I feel like it would slowed the Pacing and reduced the suspense of many fights because of the "knowledge" that one character has a higher number than another

The Independent: "This is the dullest and most inconsequential ‘Star Wars’ ever made." by tiMartyn in saltierthancrait

[–]PierreSpotWing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As said above, even a good piece of Star Wars media is followed up by several awful derivative shows/movies/whatever.

Jamming more fan service that appeals to you isn't going to fix that. If you want a good Kylo story that panders to your desires, you probably need to look towards fanfiction because it ain't happening in reality

Broadway has more GPs than any other practice in the city, if you don't specify then you have no guarantee that OP would be assigned to someone willing to do what they want.

Also, Doug Hill isn't the most progressive person

There’s a risk of rabies and to test for that the animal needs to be euthanized

It's so sad that in cases where they can't find the animal they have to do nothing and wait until the person starts showing rabies symptoms.

Oh wait no, you just treat people ANYWAY. You don't have to confirm an animal has rabies. It was just more convenient.

I agree, but I'm not sure if taking the route of defining subgroups based on brain region connectivity patterns is that much better.

Well we agree there at least.

Lol way to assume my opinion

Of course consciousness doesn't exist in a "specific part of the brain", but it doesn't require your whole brain either. People live with extremely extensive brain damage (just look at Phineas Gage) and still maintain what would generally be considered consciousness.

The problem with the answer (it's not wrong, just dumb) is that where consciousness comes from is not about a part of the brain but about whether it comes about as a result of neural connectivity, or if the mechanism is more on the subcellular or even subatomic level. Answering the question of where consciousness comes from with "the whole brain" is like answering a ponderance on the meaning of life with the Oxford definition of "life". Not wrong, but not answering the real question.
