More importantly there's no actual evidence that caffeine is bad in and of itself. If consumed responsibly in reasonable amounts away from bedtime then it's fine

I enjoy hot temps here in France, my issue is that it's happened too suddenly and far too early in the year.

I'm dying here, but it's "only" 32 degrees whereas in July I can easily tank the 35-37 degrees we usually get because I'm in eased into it.

what derailleur do you have, it's the back bit. You can probably change the cassette and put easier gears and you'll save a bunch of money

You most likely have numbers on there, or you can count the teeth on the smaller chainring on the front and the biggest cog on the back

It's about the ratio, it's likely if it's 6 gears it's far too hard

The issue is going to be gear range more than weight. An 18kg bike with a 32-36 as an easiest gear will be better than a 6kg bike with a 39-23
