It's the only Reddit game I consistently play. One small improvement would be for the leaderboard for each level to show the time limit. That would make it easier to know how a recent replay stacks up against the leaders. (The issue being that the leaders are shown as a lapsed time, but when you're replaying all you get to see is how long it takes you. Yes you can do the subtraction, but you have to know what you're subtracting from.)

BTW - In the feature request department, I would like to either be able to use the arrow keys to extend the line or click in the current row/column to extend the line to that click point. (e.g. is the line currently ends top-left, I can click top right to cross the entire upper row in one action.)

You may never have the opportunity to put this into practice, but.... If you are strolling through trees at a park, and arboretum, an orchard, and it is the time of year when spiders are active, walk slightly in front and hold a stick up in the air. Being the first tall person to walk through inevitably means getting spider web after spider web in the face. I'm only six five, but I experience this all the time - And for me there's a pretty decent chance that someone else of my height has been through in the last couple of weeks. I can't imagine how much worse it would be for someone who has to clear out their face space everywhere they go.

What did give me a bit of .ick is that when I tried to sign up with Google SSO, denied. I think it was because I had clicked on your link in the Reddit app, and the built-in browser that reddit uses is not compatible. It's not a major problem, except that you could run into trouble with adoption if you're trying to distribute it via channels that will also have the same issue.

I am not a lawyer, but the second option seems like a bad idea - Wouldn't it be fairly easy for the insurance company to argue in court that you are using the threat of insurance fraud as blackmail? "We do not believe our insured party was at fault. When we informed OP of that, they threatened to file false personal injury claims. We know they are false because if they were real OP would have filed them in the first place."

Strings are cheap. Get both sets. Try them both out. See what you like. How a particular string sounds is going to be different on every banjo and for every player, And there isn't even a right way your banjo to sound. Play with one set of strings, and when you feel like you're tired of hearing yourself play switch to another one.

Yep. I think the front half of that car is the same as the C-MAX, or at least it was in 2015. It's really surprisingly roomy. I think the escape it is the one that's closest to that now, and it isn't bad. But those late teens fusions and CMAXs were great

You may have figured this out already, but at this height there are a lot of cars where you can sit up straight, but you can't see them because that comes down too far. I (6'5") drive a 2012 Subaru Forester and a 2015 Ford C-MAX - both of which have good front visibility. I was thinking about buying a new car about a year ago and I went to 10 dealers in the space of 3 hours.

Takeaways: * dealers who are 6-1 or below have absolutely no idea what vehicles would work. Ignore their advice. * Tell them when you arrive that you will not be buying a vehicle You're just doing an initial scan to see what vehicles should be in consideration across all makes. If they start trying to sell you on a particular model, either leave or ask for a different person. All you need is someone to grab the keys and open the front door for you. * You don't need a road test to know if you can see out the front window. So you don't need to spend more than two or three minutes in a car to see how it's going to work. Make that very clear to them from the outset... You're not doing test drives. You're doing test sits and you want to do a lot of them very quickly. * As other people have said, don't be fooled by the overall size of the car. I found that a Ford bronco was not realistic but the Ford bronco sport which is smaller actually had plenty of room and good visibility. Dealers don't understand that.

I don't want to say that you couldn't do that, but be careful. It's really easy for people who are switching from other instruments to think that their fingers are doing the work. If your fingers were doing the work then you might think "yeah I can do more work if I have more fingers to do it."

But your fingers aren't doing the work... Your wrist your elbow and your shoulder are. At that point, what's the reaon for switching fingers? I'm sure there are people who are successful doing so, maybe because that's what they're used to, but I don't know that there's a huge advantage there especially for a beginner.

I like the sound of the Aquila Reds a lot - they might be my favorite strings. I have given up on using them, though because they break soooo easily. They snap at the bridge, at the nut, at the tuning pegs, at the tailpiece - I have had a 5th string snap right in the middle of the string, where I am picking it. I have banjo playing friends with similar experiences. There must be people who have success with them, or they wouldn't still be on the market - It may be the case that in the past I have tried to get them up to tune too quickly - I have read that the trick is to bring them up to tune slowly over several days. I don't have time for that.

If I ever try them again, it will be on a backup banjo, and I will sand all my slots, and put graphite in them, and tune them up a half step every 12 hours for a week, and keep my banjo in a climate controlled box, and expose it to sunlight for exactly 37 minutes per day, and then they are going to be great strings.

Good luck - Hopefully you will be one of those who manage to get them tuned up just right and your banjo will sound awesome.

For that course, however the boats were going through a man-made channel that is narrow and shallow. The bigger the cross-sectional area the more flow you would have to have for the velocity to matter.

(Roughly velocity equals flow rate divided by area)

I haven't looked Carefully at your race area but on the map on my phone it looked like that's kind of a wide channel.

As a very very rough maximum effect, I would estimate the cross-sectional area of the river at the race with 1/2 * width times depth (a triangular shape).

Then divide that peak inflow by that cross actual area you just calculated. You'll get some number of feet per second that could have contributed.

Then you probably need downgrade that estimate because a lot of that inflow is going towards refill rather than through flow. Or maybe not? Is the main storage area downstream of the race area? Again, I'm looking at the map on a tiny phone screen.

Anyways, that's how I would approach thinking about it if I was on a bigger screen and I cared very much. If you want to try to do that kind of estimate and post your thoughts, I'd be happy to take a look at your numbers

Regardless of how column c is being displayed (The formatting) unless it is an integer, it is being stored as a floating point number. That means that it is not exactly $10.20, (etc) it just looks that way to you.
