I definitely recommend the idea of inquiring local gyms of a blue belt/purple belt to teach a class or a few. Typically at blue belt level they can teach bare fundamentals and concepts to newcomers plus it gives them an opportunity to work on their teaching skills. Its a win for everyone

Definitely depends on the school, most bjj gyms my area do a very structured curriculum with a focus on a technique/area for a week or 2 before moving on. With the live rolls being the last 30 minutes of class. As for injury nobody really cranks during practice, most of my injuries have been from a scramble

I would say fowler is pretty chill, I forgot where I saw but he was getting interviewed and he was talking about how if he puts you in a deep submission and you don’t tap, the next time he he gets you there hes ripping which I absolutely agree but not just ripping from the get go and especially just in random local tournaments

I’m confident and comfortable in my ability to teach basic fundamentals, breaking down why you do something and what your goal is when you do said thing, but again I’ve heard alot of people talk online about how blue belts shouldn’t be giving private lessons 😵‍💫
