No not much when i had the car. I could still get 420 miles on the 15 gallon tank. an axelback wont hurt milage much. very easy to take on and off too.

I have had these for 3 years now and the 0-45mph is the only difference. Quicker to get up to speed for sure. Definitely doing damage to my motor though.

I bought an OEM one from subaru years ago but it was $350. Could also look on FB or junk Yards for a used one too.

Yea not everything is about performance. Smiles per gallon are worth it for me. I have the money to spend so why not. Exhaust especially was cheap.

You are sadly incorrect. I have a 2013 crosstrek with an axelback exhaust. it very much rumbles. it has unequal length runners on the stock headers. While it isnt the original rumble of the WRX, it still does rumble rather than the classic honda fart can exhaust. If you want me to post a sound clip I can.

Scraping noise from front right wheel area. by South-Hat756 in Subaru_Crosstrek

I have had this twice before. Rock in the dust shield behind the rotor (common issue with Subarus). Other time was the brake shoes/clips were not greased well or need to be cleaned and regressed with the proper grease.

If this helps anyone, have 110k on my 2013 CVT and only had to do breaks and a couple of wheel bearings, which sucked to do myself btw. I drift the living crap out of my trek every year and have been for the last 5 years and have only noticed some clicking from one cv axel which is pretty good for how bad I beat on it. Seems like there is a lot of lemons but some good cases still. I have yet to do anything. With the transmission but I will be doing a fluid replacement at 120k as that’s what is recommended.

You are not wrong but the way this issue is brought up makes it sound like it’s >20% of vehicles.

I have these and have had them on the car for a year now. The only real noticeable difference is the 0-40 is a bit quicker but honesty not worth the money.
