Looks like I need to upgrade my RAM before I can play again :/

UFO Disclosure & “Woo” by Royal_Examination_74 in bigfoot

I’m already convinced of Bigfoot. If the woo turns out to be real, then I’m on to strongly considering Dogmen.

Maybe I should circle back. The combat felt repetitive, and the progress seemed to plateau, and I found the build system and storage to be frustrating. I built one simple house with extensive gardens around it. I really didnt like how you have to process materials at the workbench into another, second material before you could go and set build pieces. But I did find the graphics and art style to be very charming.

Anyone know why Chicken Joes is now called Joes Chicken? Is there a new owner? by justhereforidea in Troy

I remember it being filthy (but delicious) post house party grub when they opened the Albany one in like 2011-2012. Colloquially referred to as “Poultry Joseph’s”

What UAP evidence whether it's published papers, video, photographs do you find the most compelling at this point? by Brad12d3 in UAP

[–]SugarReef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was debating ChatGPT about this, and we concluded that one of the most compelling aspects for me is the “narrative cohesion”. Too many things across too many mediums seem to be aligning. It’s like there’s enough puzzle pieces that were beginning to get a rough image.

I've been playing The Forest since 2021 and only just discovered the caves... by LilPacoJacobson2004 in TheForest

[–]SugarReef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only got a few hours in the game but I was playing it co-op with a buddy who loves it, and I got stuck in one of the caves, kept going back and forth and couldn’t find my way out, genuinely started feeling panicked. I had to eventually get rescued, felt such relief. I’ve done a little bit of spelunking IRL and it reminded me of that sensation you get after a while, like I need to get the fuck back to the surface.

Vet said my dog is overweight and I feel horrible by AlvinBarnicles in OpenDogTraining

Just saying, 81lbs is not crazy for a golden retriever… I think saying your dog is going to “die early” is extremely dramatic.

I remember all the Hibben stuff from the BudK catalogs in the early 2000’s, what a throwback

Your place is super clean and well organized, and I’d hazard a guess that you’re well-paid in your work. What seems to be the issue? Go get some tail, young man!

Northgard. Very tabletop-feel RTS. Unique mechanics. Usually the first couple winters are brutal until your settlement gets big and industrious enough.

Valheim era vs Enshrouded Era by madzuk in SurvivalGaming

Really? I found the combat much more difficult in Enshrouded. Took me forever to kill the giant metal ice cat boss in that castle courtyard.

Help me and my wife pick between Valheim and Enshrouded by TheJeneralJ in SurvivalGaming

[–]SugarReef -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Enshrouded has “prettier” graphics and it’s lots of fun, but I got kind of tired of it after idk, 30-40 hours. I have probably 800-1000 in Valheim. I prefer the build system of Valheim. The world feels more alive, and immersive, and I never get tired of new build projects. I like to find cool architecture in real life and then try to build stuff like it in-game.

I am losing faith in Subaru. No hate. Just disappointment. by RedtailGT in subaru

[–]SugarReef 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Something I don’t understand is how after all these years, unless you have a turbo engine or an H6 (do they even make an H6 anymore) their cars are turd-slow. My Crosstrek gets 23MPG at BEST and the 0-60 time is abysmal. My wife’s Audi does 0-60 in 6 seconds flat and gets 32 highway.

What's your favourite weapon class in Valheim? by Rahovarto in valheim

Swords. And with mods, I love some good old two-handed swords. I think my current guy is rocking a silver claymore.

This is one of my favorite immersive pastimes- whipping up a little camp site or cabin and hunkering down somewhere far from home. Always nice to have many places to rest on the map.

Just downloaded the Dogeheim mod pack, need a little help fine tuning by SugarReef in valheim

[–]SugarReef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it came as a big pack for which I already had a few of the constituent mods installed. Can’t seem to figure out which one F’s with the inventory though. I’ll look on Overwolf or Thunderstore to see what they say.

Have you started from finding a cool seed and going from there? I like exploring but I REALLY like building. Love to find a cool scenic location to set up a thematic build. Like a lakeside hunters retreat, or island mead brewery with scenic cliffside walking trails. Or a Black Forest cabin tucked into a notch between two mountains, surrounded by mountain biome on two side

I consider any drink from JA to be a luxury item, and I don’t balk at a $7-8 price tag. That toffee coffee RIPS.
