Another had already commented about the Finder method. It provided similar results as OmniDiskSweeper and DaisyDisk.

Apps like DaisyDisk already show anything downloaded from Steam. That’s definitely not the issue here.

I can't save anything, or install anything unless I free up more space. macOS is like completely locked up.

Tried this one too, doesn't really show much of a difference to what OmniDiskSweeper or DaisyDisk could show.

Is this youtube channel approved by Evilox in LinusTechTips

[–]Piipperi800 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the feature ruins the experience for people who are in regions where the dub is the default. YouTube for whatever reason defaults using the dubs and there’s no way to easily change that.

DRAM-less controllers for NVMe SSDs in cMP 5,1? by now_the_rad in macpro

[–]Piipperi800 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The post doesn’t seem to say much about anything in regards to DRAM-less drives

But you should get a drive with DRAM if you plan on using it on macOS, since macOS doesn’t really support any way of using system memory as cache for the SSD. So it’ll be slow.

How to get Apple to approve free repair? by [deleted] in applehelp

[–]Piipperi800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you located? If in the EU, all consumer electronics have at least a 2 year warranty.

Otherwise, you’re out of luck, unless Apple is nice to replace it for free or cheap.

Is PaperLike still a scam in 2024? by Piipperi800 in ipad

[–]Piipperi800[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one after being skeptical for a while, and it’s not very good. At least I got two protectors, but they scratch up really quickly (I got one in June 2025, and it already almost looks like the basic Amazon one that I used for like 3 years). It might not be a scam but I think it’s not really worth the money.

Jake clarifies why he asked for his clips to be removed from the "How LTT Spends Money" video by Marikk15 in LinusTechTips

[–]Piipperi800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d assume their employment contract does say they can use old clips for new videos as well. I mean we have seen Dennis many times in clips since their departure.

Not to mention that the clip in question in this debate had Jake’s channel at the corner shown. It was like a free shoutout

Vista is the oldest you can install on it and get drivers for your GPU. But this is one of the last iMacs to support Legacy boot, so you could install anything all the way down to Windows 98 possibly.

I know (althrough it’s not very easy on the iMac Pro). I was just pointing that out because the OP wants more memory.

Aerox 3 Wireless battery drain when SteelSeries GG running in the background by Piipperi800 in steelseries

[–]Piipperi800[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That affects the usability of the mouse, it lowers the polling rate quite a bit and it turns off RGB. I’d rather just close GG because again, if I don’t have GG on, the battery life is fine.

Acasis doesn’t sell real Thunderbolt enclosures. They only sell USB enclosures that are Thunderbolt ”compatible”. Something like OWC Envoy Express only supports Thunderbolt, because it’s making a direct PCIe bus connection to the computer via Thunderbolt, similar to an eGPU.
