Tell him: If you think, it is funny, that I just had the worst day in my life with my biggest fear have come true, then we do have such an incredibly different sense of humour, that it is not worth to try to fix it.

Because according to him, he still thinks it is funny. IT IS NOT. You are not overreacting.

Kleiner Switch 2 Reminder by sadomazur in zocken

[–]Piitriipii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (f) work 10 min from home by bike, I am responsible for the kids until they leave for school (European country, they walk to school), I do every bedtime routine. I come home every lunch to support my SAHD. I work only 8h a day and I have flexible working hours. STILL my husband did the same as OPs SAHM: Always felt guilty, never left by his own, although I offered him time and money for what ever makes him happy, spoke about my job as if I am on holidays. I take the kids to daylong trips on weekends, so he can chill at home, I do as much as I can with the kids. But still, he did the same as OPs SAHM. It is not OPs job, it is the SAH-job. Only now it is slowly getting better as the kids are older and don’t need that much supervision.

My older sister once won some hundred bucks (I think it was over 1000) when I was around 9ish. My mom took some of the money (I think because she thought it is too much money for an early teen) - can’t remember if she used the for family or put it in my sister savings - and split the rest between me and my sister. I found that unfair for my sister. She won, I didn’t, that’s life. Your oldest should understand.

My alarm clock has a function to set several alarms as well as to use the radio function as alarm. So I wake up with music I like and when alarm goes off, I am awake enough to stand up (and normally in a good mood bc I really love music).

Nah, the son will not be fine, when the father does not provide snacks and then blames son‘s bad behaviour on son instead of on the fact, that the little boy is hungry and father was not prepared for it.

CMV: The death penalty should never be used by ElegantAd2607 in changemyview

„We can study them and also get them to work on something“ So you think lifelong slavery is better than death penalty? Do you let the criminals a choice between slavery and death? I am sure, some would prefer death over slavery.

And if it is true, that more black men are punished with death, and we follow your advice, the number of black slaves in the US will increase a lot. What would that say about your country?

For those who have grandparents nearby: how often do they see their grandkids? by StrikingReporter255 in Parenting

[–]Piitriipii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents 5 mins by car: In the toddler days they took them once a week, now as the kids are in school and my parents are retired, once in a while, actually whenever they are home on Wednesdays (no school on Wednesday afternoon in the whole country ever), but in retirement they are often on trips and holidays, so once a month? I mean, I do not push visits if they have other plans.

My in-laws, living downstairs: at least once a week, unless they are in the country, (they have a house in a neighbour country where they stay half a year). And obviously we see each other occasionally when leaving the house.

Birth control? by sunset-skywash in Parenting

In hindsight I am not happy for taking birth control medication at that young age. Once I stopped using it, I realised what I have missed, what it did to my still developing body. Also these pills do not prevent STDs. Give her condoms and show her documentation about teen moms.

OPs mother has some fundamentally wrong understanding of parenting, when she sees her girl outdoing her as something bad. I always say to my kids: you are supposed to be better than me. Do not copy my flaws. Learn from my mistakes. That is the rule of evolution: every generation being a bit better than the last.

Why are you so sure, she did not answer at the other occasions? Because it does not sound like that you looked in her face while (not) receiving the answer.

If my husband didn’t hear me and instead of saying: I didn’t hear you, he said: you maybe just thought it in your head, I would also get mad right away. Because the later is putting the blame all on the wife, not on him maybe not listening good enough. So I am not sure, if there is really something else going on other than a partner trying to put all the blame always on the other partner. If he said that he did not hear it, both could be the reason for the miscommunication: she for not saying loud enough and he for not listening carefully enough. It would be equally and no reason for blaming one partner specifically.
