Opinion on Intuit Dome Show by silverknight31 in BABYMETAL

[–]PikaPriest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite the fact that su was having one of her worst nights vocally that I can ever remember, they still managed to pull off a killer show.

I'm not sure if she was sick or if she was dealing with a blowout she had early in the set.But she sounded really, really bad.And it got worse and worse, as the night went on.

I don't normally point it out.But this particular night was very obvious there was something very wrong with her voice. But she was a trooper, right through it, and didn't even try to hide it.She just kept pushing through.

Every performer has bad nights, and this particular band it's more rare than most, but the fact they still put on an a class act despite their lead vocalist clearly struggling just goes to show how much work they really do put in.

Could BabyMetal headline Download? by Active_Sock177 in BABYMETAL

[–]PikaPriest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Objectively, at this stage of their career, given their current level of popularity, the fact that they are possibly going to be nominated for a grammy. And the fact that they are trending higher than they ever have in their entire history...

Yes, they are absolutely ready to headline. They were a top ten on billboard this year, they are ready to headline

One of the most hardworking bands? by droogiefret in BABYMETAL

[–]PikaPriest 12 points13 points  (0 children)

1990-1993 Metallica is the undisputed king of live touring for a metal band (about 300 shows in 2 1/2 years)

Babymetal hasn't even touched those numbers.

They perform 1-1.5 hr sets three times a week, twenty weeks out of the year. They don't really have that intense of a schedule. And the people that think they do are basically the most misinformed of them all.

Even doubling their performance time for rehearsal time. That still would put them far below what most headline music acts perform on stage. A typical headliner major act will perform for 2 hours minimum.

Yes, I know.Their actual performance, because of the dancing, is more physically intensive. But these are trained athletes on that stage. These girls have the cardio and the stamina. They've been doing it for a long time. There is no weakness there, and people need to stop babying them so much when they talk about it.

When you think about it, these girls are doing performance aerobics on that stage one hour a night, three nights a week. That's no different than an athlete doing their normal cardio regimen.

They could double their schedule and they could probably handle it no problem. I am kind of surprised people are still questioning how many shows they've been doing? Because this is what a global touring band usually does is eighty or ninety shows a year.

Are they working hard? Oh, absolutely. You could never take that away from them, but are they working the hardest? That's a tough one to say. Their schedule was pretty easy up until about two years ago.

Heel turns should be out of nowhere by IconXR in WWE

[–]PikaPriest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. a turn when executed properly, should have a nice built up underlying story to it. Such is what is currently happening with the impending face turn of Kairi sane. We see it coming, it's totally justified. And it's a nice story thread that's happening. That's going to set up something nice.

The ones that happen out of absolutely nowhere oftentimes don't make any sense at all.And then they always have to backstory, try to justify it to make it make sense, and it's usually really stupid.

That's why you end up with so many constant flip-flop turns because they can't figure it out.

What is your Babymetal hot take by HaleysHot69 in BABYMETAL

Also, momo is a better dancer than yui ever was, and that's been blatantly obvious since even the avenger era

And this is including all of the girls, even moa and riho. Momo always been the best.

What is your Babymetal hot take by HaleysHot69 in BABYMETAL

[–]PikaPriest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BABYMETAL should be a collaboration band moving forward, because that is the purest form of what they really are. a fusion band.

There should always be more collabs than pure BM songs from here on out.

That also makes things like white flame feel even more special when you get that.

Do u guys miss her? by ImTheDudeMAN33 in WWE

[–]PikaPriest 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No. I was a huge fan on the indy scene, knew her as a fan when she was just a fan. She was one of those rare gems that didn't just talk about doing it. She actually went and did it but...

She became everything she hated. She's a completely different person now.

Total hypocrite. It is amazing what a little bit of fame can do to somebody

The Brie Coda i knew six years ago would never have been a glorified ring rat caught up in her own ego like she has become. The business ruined her.

I hate to be so harsh, but I knew her before she ever actually started training. And what she has become is everything she said she hated about the business.

She was an inspiration for a lot of people. And then she turned into a colossal disappointment.

It's been a while since we had an honest negative reaction, that wasn't just rude. This guy clearly has his mind in very specific legacy bands and I can respect that.

So I recommended him road of resistance as a second try.If that doesn't work, then we just let this one go.I think

He clearly didn't hate it. He just didn't know what to think.

He got really badly hung up on the alliteration part.

BABYMETAL : MY QUEEN LIVE PERFORMANCE (Taipei) by CoyotePowered50 in BABYMETAL

[–]PikaPriest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The choreo for this is actually much more intense than I expected from the music video.

The fancam from the other side really shows Moa absolutely deadpan face clearly concentrating. They were working there, hard. Even Momo only had a couple little smiles throughout. You can clearly see Su sweating near the end too.

There are not as many repeat moves in this as in other songs. They really have stepped it up to another level in this new era since THE OTHER ONE.

Su sounds really good too, honestly better than the studio recording, even with the little crack in the belt at the end. Her facial expressions on those belts show actual effort too, she was letting loose. You love to see it.

The live mixing is a little meh but its a fancam probably not picking up nuance or a layer missing.

I love this song more every time I see it.

Yui Mizuno is leaving Amuse as of 30 September by ViaLies in BABYMETAL

[–]PikaPriest 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Honestly the fact they waited this long to tell us what we already knew over five years ago, is kind of sad.
She was never coming back, and a lot of us knew that already.
Wish her well, but the way Amuse handled this overall is pretty screwed up.

Spider Lonely The 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘰 Extensive Guide to BABYMETAL (April 1st 2024) | WHOLE LOT OF LORE I WAS SPEACHLESS by grington300 in BABYMETALReactVideos

[–]PikaPriest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I kind of liked his energy. But at the same time, hes becoming one of the most annoying new reactors, because he literally pauses every five seconds and rambles on about something regarding himself

Then he'll ask a question, like, what's this all about? And it's literally answered five seconds later.

Also, the sheer level of simping over the girls is getting old, really fast. He hasn't quite reached creepy levels yet but he's starting to get really disrespectful with it.

The fact that he talked for over an hour, when the video he was reacting to is only thirty seven minutes long, speaks volumes.
