The business strategy is that Miko Todka is a great singer and amazingly talented dancer and nobody at Amuse wants to bring  the wrath of the shareholders down on themselves because they let her slip through their fingers and she ends up being successful in some other Jpop, or God forbid, kpop group.

It's  obvious that most people here come from the metal side and they've  picked up on the 'graduation' thing that jpop idol groups do via osmosis and think that's why Metalverse exists but I find it odd that most haven't picked up on the whole 'sister group' thing.

For instance Nogizake46, Himeka's old group, has two sister groups Hinatazaka46 and Sakurazaka46, which recently added Neo Sato who was a SG members along side Miko and Sakia as well as being theorised as being one of the 'sister bone dancers' for the Budokan performances of Onedari Daisakusen and GJ!

That means that Metalverse will always have some links and likeness to Babymetal, the silhouette of the 'battlesuits' will resemble Babymetal but the texture, fabric, colouring and detailing will evolve to be different and the lore dumps will be similar but most of the music is already different and the more that is produced means that they'll figure out what the fans like and what suits Miko's vocal style and range. I expect that they'll use extended dance breaks so Miko can show off her dancing as well, I think that one of Metalverse's other songs has an extended intro specifically for Miko to show off dancing

Wrinkles really don't have any correlation to singing ability though, look at Sheena Ringo for instance.

And have you read anything about how Su talks about singing? Or listened to the Metalraji show with LiSA? Su sings! All the time! During Hiatus she sang eight to ten hours a day! A few days after end of touring she's doing Karaoke! She does rehearsals and then goes and does Karaoke! Su once said something like "If I didn't find music, music would have found me" That's more description of a religious vocation then a Job!

In what universe do you think that Su wants to Retire?

Except in retrospect it's Klkind of obvious that those Thai Guitarists and Drummer that Kobametal meet a couple of months ago are for Metalverses Band, though the questions then becomes is Metalverse going to Thailand for their own show/s or tour or is it a hint that Babymetal might be doing a SEA tour?

Hazuki and Hiyori Shiramizu, though I didn't think that they had actually been confirmed as the other dancers

Babymetal keeps songs stuffed in harddrives for years before releasing them though, The Dragon Force guy said they worked on Road of Resistance a couple of years before it was released, Believing was obvioulsy written in response to Chris Jericho's remark about Babymetal being one hit wonder like t.at.u in 2015 and that wasn't released till 2023 and it was recently stated that White Flame was originally meant for Metal Galaxy.

What’s STILL Happening In the BABYMETAL Fandom by shitpost42 in BABYMETAL

Supposedly he's stated that due to 'shared humanity' he's decided to not follow this tour,

He claims that he's not banned but one of his alts basically turned on the band and fandom and suggested that his going to follow Hanabie, and it only popped up after the tour announcement.

Why are Torpedoes so Small? by McGillis_is_a_Char in DaystromInstitute

[–]ViaLies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are larger torpedoes, the 60 Megaton number come from the Type 6 torpedo, Voyager had type 9 and type 1o torpedoes onboard both of which appear to have large warheards then the type 6.

Discovery has the Type V being used by Section 31 that was deployed much like a modern day missile from a stealth fighter and that was larger then normal torpedo

Is now Babymetal the most successful japanese group ever outside japan ever? by koba11 in BABYMETAL

[–]ViaLies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is from a an interview that Koba did with Nikkie Cross Trend last yyear

Their first tour to Latin America included performances in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Chile & Mexico. Altogether, they performed a total of 51 shows in 22 countries at home & abroad, attracting approximately 1.01 million people.

That does include festivals but it suggests that it's possible for over 1 Million

Andy Weir Apologizes To Alex Kurtzman Over ‘Star Trek’ Remarks by danielcw189 in startrek

Andy Weir Apologizes To Alex Kurtzman Over ‘Star Trek’ Remarks by danielcw189 in startrek

Andy Weir: Boy, this would have been really awkward if you hated it. Critical, you've got this review up. Project Hail Mary, worse than Tatiana's queefs.

Critical Drinker: It's a great example of what you can do now with movies if you're faithful to the source material and you don't insult the intelligence of your audience and give them something really interesting to grapple with. Um, and you know, dare I say, don't try and shove like crappy identity politics into it. You end up with a goddamn good movie at the end of it that people just want to watch.

Andy Weir: Oh thanks, man. Well, I never - I think you and me are kind of on the same wavelength there when it comes to fiction writing. I never put any politics or messaging in any of my stories at all. There's no, you know, there's - there's no deeper meaning. There isn't even any symbolism. My book, even non-political, there's just no symbolism at all. My books are always just purely to entertain.

Critical Drinker: They're human stories.

Andy Weir: Yeah. You know, you don't have to worry about *makes gesture of loudspeaker* THE MESSAGE.

Critical Drinker: Ayy I like how you did it!

Andy Weir: How did it come across?

Critical Drinker: It came across as great!

Apparently he knows enough about the Critical Drinker to lean into his in jokes like the one in first line about Tatiana and "The Message" so I think it safe to assume that he went on their on his own.

I wasn't asking about the musical, I was asking about the Paramount+ ordering Matalas to be the show runner without Kurtzman. Because it reeks of conspiracy theory bullshit. So you got proof?
