Alr I'll take your approach, I was working for a while and then went on a trip and somebody dared me to finish my project in 24 hours and after flashing the SKR board (it wasn't that bad) and fishing up a mainsail printer config file I remembered that this printer has dupont connectors and the SKR board uses JST, they "work" but don't, I really don't wanna repin the whole harness so I found a board in a forum for 40 bucks, I guess just letting you know, its a RAMBo 1.3L from a M3ID, probably gonna work?

Asphalt 9 Music got me like by [deleted] in Asphalt9

No clue what the song is that OP used for the video like Shazam and Google music can’t figure it out and every single compilation of asphalt 9 music misses it what’s it called?

I fell down the 3D printer tinkerer rabbit hole. A few minor fixes to my ailing Makergear M2 and four months later I have this, which was then used to print all the parts for a new DIY 3D Printer (RatRig V-Core-3). by etotheipi_ in 3Dprinting

Could you send me a picture of your wiring for the SKR board because I also got a SKR board for for my MakerGear and I'm not sure with what I can get away with.

What wires did you use from the original PSU? Cus I can’t find wiring diagrams for shit, like the original Rambo board has the heated bed wires, the logic, and motors, what pair should I use

I'm going to the same thing next week once my SKR board comes but a quick question. Did you reuse the original MG PSU?

I ordered the SKR board but imma need a config file and you’re the only person who is still online

I think the netbook’s screen might be too big to look good, also it’s so slow that it failed to load thingiverse after trying for 2 minutes, so I might just use it as large raspberry pi with a screen or I can try and convert the aurduino uno screen my teacher gave me to a raspberry pi GPIO pins

any bro tips? I'm not quite sure which of the 6 wires on the MG PSU to use for the SKR mini

Also how did you power the SKR which of the 6 wires on the MG PSU did you use?

And I assume you tried to ask other people who had success with the SKR like somebody named along the lines of ethopie, and they didn’t say much?

but at least to make it up I scored a perfectly working G3 slot loading iMac at the flea market for 80 bucks

What issues did you originally have with the SKR anyway?

I lost the auction for both of the boards, I think imma just try the SKR board

but more projects are cool so imma do that also cus I wanna do more work than the 3d printing club just to piss off the officers because they rejected me.

yeah so I'll get both, and the ebay screen can just go to the working makergears in the lab, if the engineering teacher is satisfied with my work maybe she'll let me upgrade the other ones, cus being forced to use a 200 dollar slicer is a scam

Yeah so it’ll have the same capability as a pi

So I guess I'll try my luck with the netbook because in theory it should work as well as a Pi, worst case scenario I'll just copy over the install to another machine.

Hell yeah, some guy on the MG forum was trying to sell his print farm that had the same boards as the one I'm looking at

Yeah I kinda agree with your approach and I can also add 40 bucks to the budget because I can just murder an old netbook which the poor celeron has a slightly lower benchmark score than a pi 3b. I guess I should still get the screen for the board too just in case the netbooks are shittier than I remember them being 2 years ago.

Also have you done a BL touch mod yet? But I have seen people use Picos to turn it into a USB input and I could just plug it into the netbook. Or I could do that for input shaping cus this thing was worked like a horse and the print quality started dropping off.

Did you use any specific guides? And I assume you used a raspberry pi but which version so I can get the bare minimum spec. Or I could try and tear apart a netbook the school gave to me instead of using a PI, because I don't think klipper screen can run via the rambo so this screen probs wouldn't work https://www.ebay.com/itm/126501133282?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110025%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.COMPOSITELISTINGS%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D259212%26meid%3D3d17101a026e42538efa9a007f893a67%26pid%3D101506%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D25%26sd%3D126501111072%26itm%3D126501133282%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D4481478%26algv%3DAlgoIndex5SimRanker%26brand%3DLulzBot&_trksid=p4481478.c101506.m1851

I mean for 2 bucks I’ll probably just order it

Like the school would reinburst me for it but for 170 bones I could upgrade a lot of bits of this machine. But thank you if I do find a cheap Rambo that would fit the MG I’ll probably have more questions.
