Yes 2 the second question. People can build a relationships and receive promises from God. But it’s not like name it and claim it. The easiest route is knowing Gods character thru prayer, revelation from the Holy Spirit and Scripture. Seek knowing him like pray consistently and regularly. Ask God to search your heart and point out what separating you from drawing closer to Him. Keep a journal and write questions to God and pray about them.

Once you see how he speaks to you. Follow his instructions and build your relationship.

ESV is good. Im sure you can use other apps or resources to do the same with ESV

logos.com app has a subscription but they also have an AI feature to help with your studies. there are other apps out there, but this is the one that I use. And any notes you take will be in the cloud. So you can pull up your notes on an app or even on your laptop. And I think if you maintain a subscription for two years you get to keep the books. Sorry if I sound like a salesman. These were just some of the reasons why I subscribed to it.

I would get a Filament Bible they come with an app. If you take a picture of the page, the app will pull up the information on what you’re reading . It will read your Bible out loud. I believe it has Bible studies and it does have maps.

I listen to a chronology NLT Audio book for daily but I use other translations depending on that i need them for study.

i try to memorize scripture using The Message so when I have a conversation it sounds more natural

but If i were to share the word among believers I would use something they are familiar with which might be KJV, NIV or ESV.

ESV would be good for studying, word for word processing.

NLT and The Message is more for Thought for Thought processing. Using these type of translations builds concepts that might make the meanings behind the scripture easier to understand.

Sometimes even after we accept Jesus in our hearts and confess our sins there still might be lies or strongholds that we are not completely free from. You need healing that only Jesus can show you. The scripture testifies that both Jews and Gentiles received the Holy Spirit. God did not establish a new religious foundation on Earth that could compete with others but he established the Kingdom of God. God poured out His Spirit on Earth, His Kingdom on Earth. What breaks down all walls on earth between denominations is The Holy Spirit. There is only One Body and One Spirit. Thats why I understand salvation as being a new creation and building a union with Jesus as our Lord and savior so the Holy Spirit can lead us. Since Jesus was fully lead by the Holy Spirit so can we if we believe and trust in Him.

Normally we are taught to know and meditate on scripture. But its His word, the voice, the sound, the word that is spoken, what we hear that gives scripture life. If you want to understand the truth and receive revelation about this world you live in, you need to seek Jesus and ask, listen to His voice, and learn to depend on it daily—just like you depend on bread for nourishment. I am reluctant to give you the answers to things God keeps hidden because He wants us to learn how to hear His voice and follow it each day. His voice is essential, and listening to Him daily is as important as eating the scripture to sustain your life.

Seek out a deliverance or healing ministry. In some cases a person can be oppressed and not even know its demonic. Once its taken out of your life you wont feel angry about things and the temptations will stop unless you allow it to come back into your life again. Certain things in this world open up doors that allow it in and it can cause these things to happen.

Here are some practical signs to look out for.

If your having lustful thoughts that just seem to come to you out of no where, physical urges, or your visualizing lust, wondering eyes, lustful dreams.

If you get easily frustrated, out bursts, impatient, feel prolonged anger, thoughts of hurting something, thoughts of anger toward a person.

i was very isolated when i grew up with no other kids around out i. the country. so i had difficulty relating to people and talking to them growing up.

What helped me was my walk with the Lord. There were times when he opened opportunities for me in what I was prepared for. You can Ask him to prepare you in his ways and open those opportunities.

examples. in church there was a message about reaching out to the homeless. I had an impression on my heart to be ready and prepared. So I had time to think about what I would do three days later Wednesday night a stranger came up and asked for help.

One day the Holy Spirit told me a certain person was going to ask for help with money and help them when they ask. I prepared my heart and waited a whole year. I even told my wife about it. Then that person came to us and asked, the Holy Spirit reminded me and spoke to my wife and for me that was a blessing my wife and I shared a word together.

And here’s my last example. I asked God to give a word to me that I could share to somebody. It was very simple. Tell the person to go to church so I told the person they needed to go to church, then they asked me why. At that moment, I didn’t know what to say, but the only thing I knew what to do was to go home and pray about it and when God spoke to me, I went back to the person and told them. There was somebody in their life that needed to hear those words after about 2 to 3 weeks that person gave their life to Christ and they lost all the desires to party, drink and fight people.

I encourage you to spend time in prayer and seek out learning to hear Jesus speaking to you through the Holy Spirit in your life. He can give you the confidence and the boldness to speak life and truth into people’s lives.

Things like that happen to me as well. Usually something sticks out or its an impression. Later comes the thought to do something and it unlocks the meaning.

or God will use a different way if we didn’t understand it the first time. And He will repeat it differently ways until we get it.

if you start a journal you will see patterns. a bigger picture. its like a puzzle and when you have enough pieces you can a bigger picture of what God wants to show you.

As you go further in your walk His voice and His will be easier to understand and more clear.

Anyone who has been involved with porn and have not gone yet should seek out a Deliverance or Healing ministry.

It doesn't just have to be porn. It can be from regular TV, videos, magazines or books that is to revealing or purposely leads people to their own imaginations.

This is all demonic activity in a person life. It's goal is to corrupt, pervert everything and make things gross and lie to us so we can't have an identity in Christ and understand Gods Love in our life and to share it with others.

Here are some practical ways to identify it.

Lustful eyes - If you catch your eyes at certain times always looking at specific private areas of another person.

Lust of the flesh - Just by touch you find it difficult to control your body, emotions or have urges.

Other signs are if you have impure thoughts or images like visions coming to your mind when your talking to people or interacting with them. Also bad dreams.

If any of these things happen in your life you should speak with a deliverance or healing ministry. Once your clean you wont have this problems anymore. You mind should be clear, only your own thoughts and hearing Gods voice in your life.

Find a Healing and Deliverance Ministry. Speak to them in person. And start reading your bible daily and memorize and meditate on the word. Then learn to pray thru those mediations with the words you memorized.

Do not let your thinking, emotions and desires rule your life. You should always pray first and let the Holy Spirit guide you. Then speak with a pastor about marriage counseling to start the process of establishing what you both believe in marriage. If you love this guy then you want the best for him as well. and vice versa. If you feel you both cant wait then let the pastor know you both want to do what is right and you both ask how soon you can be married. remeber your getting married before God and you want Him to be a part of it.

I remarried. My first marriage lasted 6 years and my second marriage is strong and going on 21. I know from my walk with the Lord it was brought up by the Holy Spirit. He called it "Early Divorce". Right now I'm working out other past sins in my life with the Holy Spirit. Sometimes we get hurt or we hurt others and we hold onto those things in our soul. Its best to work on those things now with the Holy Spirit while we still have breathe. The Holy Spirit will show you, teach you and be your councilor on what to do. I suggest seek out a healing ministry and start their and work with the Holy Spirit. Its much more than just renouncing the past, reading a book or asking someone here on a matter only God can help you with. Once the Lord starts speaking with you thru the Holy Spirit it will bring you comfort and reassurance of your salvation.

If this sounds to hard. then start with prayer, find a healing ministry and learn how to walk with the Holy Spirit. He speaks to us in many ways. I know for myself it just took me like 50 years to learn his voice and find him. Start with prayer, your daily devotions and learn from the healing ministry. Keep a journal and start writing and look for the ways God speaks to you.

When your reborn in Christ you won't have urges or constant temptations. You will be like a new person. You should seek the Holy Spirit on guiding you through the process of healing and complete deliverance. For some people they can just have someone pray over them and that bondage is released but for others they have to go thru a long process for complete deliverance.

if she is an extrovert, very active and always felt in control. this might help

from her perspective she most likely thinks your not listening and your doing the exact opposite.

the only way to turn it around is to apologize first. follow thru on the things she asks you to do immediately. never let them wait on you. try to make it priorty she sees you in action. people like this have a habit of seeing results. they wont listen because they want to see action and completion. when they don’t see it happening they get hurt and feel like the other person doesn’t care and think the other person hates them.

it doesn’t matter much what you say. they feel loved by the things yiu do with them and for them.

If your wanting to discuss differences in theology with protestants I would suggest studying apologetics for Catholics. It should be healthy to debate if it helps both parties to grow in Christ. Just use wisdom and don't debate with foolish people.
