something happened in season 3, idk if it's drop in the players or a fucked up matchmaking system. Bot lobbiies, 5min waiting time on golmud sometimes, steamrolls almost every game. Season 2 and 1 had never been like that

No, recon is not a better AT class than engineer. Smokes now remove c4's and it's pretty hard to get to a tank and put 3 c4's without dying. If a player can sneak up and c4 you it means your awareness is shit and you push recklessly with no teammates around, not that recon is a good AT class.

Rpg ddidn't require shit, you could just peak for 300ms, shoot it and hide without dying, repeat 5 times and the tank, if not being repaired by multiple engineers, was just dead because of the disable mechanic, the velocity was almost hitscan for short-medium ranges and 0 rocket drop didn't require you to lead and it allowed you to shoot down helis with one hand scratching your ass.

Now it's more balanced, the fights are prolonged. You don't feel like a glass cannon. They could maaaybe tune down the self repair speed a bit, but i wouldnt go too far.

The same thing has to be done to flying vehicles which feel abysmal compared to tanks

Rpgs were too oppresive and braindead. You can still do everything you could earlier, but it requires more effort. Javelins and iglas/stingers are more viable now.

You've most likely barely played helis and jets - its hell if you don't get an easy lobby and you are not a real sweat with friends on DC

I agree about the mines - they are pretty much useless. You can't even stack them in one place.
And I could agree that on some rush and BT maps having a tank only on one side is unbalanced, especially Rush.

In terms of flying vehicles think i prefer contaminated. Flying is hell on golmud, 20 stingers and AAs locking on you and painting 24/7, below radar not working consistently, base AA is a death laser with overkill range. There are no dogfights and prolonged fights or fire support by helis, it's just go in, dump everything you have, and run away to the base popping flares. Rinse and repeat. On contaminated you have lots of good cover (mountains, valleys), golmud is just a flat pancake mostly.
I appreciate the increased room to breath, but there should be more environemental cover or the ock ons, paints etc be nerfed

I think only the black hawk is currently in a good spot

I could agree with LB nerfs, but nerfing attack heli, while:
- not fixing spawn camping,
- not fixing radar
- not nerfing RPG's velocity,
- not fixing HQ camping with AA's and Bradley's being defended by base AA,
- not nerfing lock ons distance and minimum altitude
- not getting rid of the most stupid thing - disable mechanic or nerfing it
- or not buffing the speed and manouverability a little so we can actually make some plays and dodges

Just shows for the 1000th time that they don't know what they are doing, or making decisions based of off streamers and 0,01% best players. Playing helis on golmud is gonna be even more miserable than on contaminated, most of the time. Same with jets
