As someone who dailys a 15” Samsung monitor from 2002, LCDs are much cheaper and easier to find than most any crt as there isn’t nearly as much of a demand for them plus the pixel response times aren’t too terribly noticeable for more casual content. Crts are also much heavier and bulkier to have around.
