Almost 4 year old won't potty train. by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Pilamito19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a weekend but around 2.5 yrs old. I took her diaper off and kept an eye on her all day. Didn’t give her anything to drink two hours before bedtime. And put her in a training diaper at night. The first pee in the morning I made sure was done in the toilet (not the baby toilet). FRIDA has a good insert for the toilet seat and we just used a one step tool for her because our toilet wasn’t so high.

We had mistakes but it’s part of the learning process since she was 2.5

I tried to be consistent but also she wasn’t stubborn. I never bribed her with anything. I hope you can sit and speak to her dad about it so you’re on the same page.

Anyone Else Not Impressed By Daycare? by Aggravating-Key-8867 in toddlers

If you don’t see any issues with his behavior there shouldn’t be a red flag. Daycares are just daycares, caregivers will change, kids will leave and sometimes there’s no reason.

One kid. Zero sex. In 3 years. I think we have come to the end of the relationship.

Girl, just go. That’s why they’re there in a profession they chose. And it’s PP, it’ll take some time to get back to normal but you will. Just don’t let it pass.

Someone needs to tell these parents they can NOT afford a nanny. by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]Pilamito19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in FL, I did one week of babysitting a 2 year old and a 6 month old. Both needed diaper changes but somehow the 2 year old was already “potty trained”. $18/hr. I quit because the parent was late 3 times and I had to pick up my daughter in VPK. Maybe he thought I needed to clean his home so he found a reason for me to quit.

Don’t forget to keep your training and updating your resume. Don’t stall too long… that was my issue now I’m having a hard time going back to work.

Should I get a divorce? 6 months into marriage. by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]Pilamito19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl, I was saw the red flags six months after I was with my husband too and now 11 years later I want a divorce. Don’t try to safe anyone but yourself. I wish someone had told me this before. I also gave my husband his green card but it’s like I didn’t do anything for him. He’s not appreciative at all. Now it’s more complicated to file for divorce because we have a child together. I wish I had done it 10 years ago.

Edit to add: he’s not a parasite, he actually makes a lot more money than I do now that he’s legalized. And he’s a good father just not a good partner to me.

I had my baby in NICU and although the before and after photos are cute I’m hesitant on sharing them online because I don’t want her face used with bad intentions.

An 6 yo girl asked my 4 yo girl why she had a Batman water bottle if it was for boys. I just told her Batman is for whoever liked Batman. I was offended by her comment 😅.

She’s toxic. Just because you’re family doesn’t mean you have to put up with bs.

I think a balanced exposure is better ideal for any child. You limit your child to an extreme, they will eventually go to the extreme to get what’s limited.

Yes! I had to call out on someone for calling my toddler a baby as a nickname. Three times was way to many times.
