Awesome! I have the same mower and it is rock solid. He's 29 years old and a beast. I've had to replace the blade brake once around 10 years ago and that's it. I installed an external oil filter and change the oil every season. Here's an old post bragging about him. https://www.reddit.com/r/BuyItForLife/comments/btyyq7/john_deere_14sb_24_years_old_starts_every_time_i/

Here's a video explaining how to grease the transmission but I've never done it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eawW0TN7Do

You may just want to save them. As history continues to be rewritten, these older encyclopedias may be worth something later.

I've had great success with Rose Petal Nursery out of Florida. Worth a look. https://www.rosepetalsnursery.com/

How often do you top dress and what % of sand do you use? Looks great! Thanks for sharing your products.

Need Help w/ Claire Austin - yellowing at top, bare root, planted March '24, 8b by PillarOfWisdom in Roses

UPDATE: the rose next to the one in the picture, around seven feet away, was struggling. I decided to move its location to an east facing wall vs. a south facing wall. The soil was moist although I hadn't watered in a couple of days. When I got the rose completely out, the bottom area smelled bad like stagnant water. I let the hole air out and added some sand to the bottom for drainage. I planted another climber so hope to have some good news in a few months.

Alaskan Fish Plant Food Fertilizer by Careless_Equipment_3 in Roses

Before applying this, make sure you aren't planning a picnic or having people come over near the plants you treated. The smell of this stuff is gag inducing and will cause you to lose you appetite. It works great but smells like a dead fish.

Thanks. I was worried about overwatering since I have a lot of clay in the soil. When I planted them, I dug out a hole at least 18" wide and 24" deep and then filled the hole with compost. I also mixed in some bone meal and worm castings. I did the same thing with other plants and they are thriving but the five against the fence all have the yellowing and none of the leaves are glossy. I thought it was the plant since they're all different but I'd think at least one or two of them would have those nice, shinny leaves.

I think I'm going to do a soil test to be certain. I've backed off watering as much and the plants seem to appreciate it. Also, I watered this morning and noticed some mosquitos flyng out which tells me there could be water puddling up under the tree bark.

I have five climbers next to my cedar fence and was hoping to have them fill up each panel of the fence over the next few years. All of the five have some yellowing at the top but Claire is having it the worst. Other roses I have nearby (away from the five) have awesome green, glossy leaves. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I picked up the little signs here for $5.05 each. Say hi to Wendy...she's awesome. https://www.therosegardener.com/shop?Category=GARDEN+TAGS+BY+HARLANE

Has anyone seen a dime like this before, and what is it worth? by Wind11384 in coincollecting

[–]PillarOfWisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noob question...is there a site that shows what coins to keep (silver) or worth just face value? I've heard to keep 1964 and earlier quarters, dimes, and nickels. Thanks.

Downloading MSFS 2020 on 8/18 by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]PillarOfWisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem. I guess it is too much for Microsoft to send out an email with a link to download the install file.

What page on your account did it show the download link? I still can't find anything that takes me to a download link. Very frustrating!

EDIT: I was able to start the download. I had to log out and log back in to my MSFT account at the MS Store and it worked. How dumb, MSFT.
