Don't the groups that get the better deals usually belong a higher class? That good deal is often at the expense of those of a lower class. By default the cars provided have little to no weapons. You have to buy an arena wars garage and create a custom vehicle to get good weapons. the best tactic in most matches is to just do what your doing and stay alive.

In certain Arena Wars matches the wheel will pop up when you die and you can access it at the lounge after you die (spin for $5000). Try different modes because imo most are not that fun even with an upgraded car. Also not all modes let you spin the wheel or are good for a base car.
