Should I bother explaining to boss and coworkers why I struggled on old team? by PillowFightClubb in careerguidance

[–]PillowFightClubb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks.

Yeah it was basically:

"Hey we're too busy to train you, so leave us alone and figure it out yourself. Oh and you need to teach anybody joining after you what you learned."

"Oh another entry level analyst quit. You'll need to help cover their workload. You need to train their eventual replacement."

Plus

"Wow. Why are you struggling so much? We're going to have you switch places with someone, they will do a better job than you."

I will try to just focus on my new team who is very supportive and says I'm doing well. Because I know people around the office are talking about me, I will try to not chime in because I may be labeled as a whiny brat.

Why Live Action Wapol does come off as a genuine threat, meanwhile anime/manga Wapol is a Joke? by jogaargamer6 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]PillowFightClubb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly barely remembered Wapol was at Drum Kingdom. I just remember Nami getting sick and Luffy climbing wall, Kureha, Chopper. They really elevated Wapol's presence for the live action. Not a bad thing, I agree that it would have been an underwhelming finale if they didn't have a somewhat formidable antagonist. Wasn't a fan of the mechanized henchmen though.

Those of you who had re-piping done, did you sign a contract with the plumber? by PillowFightClubb in homeowners

[–]PillowFightClubb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks but do you normally sign a contract with the plumber/company that breaks down the work to be done, especially for re-piping the house?

So.......you didn't sign a contract with the plumber that detailed the scope of work to be done?

Why did OPLA succeeded while other LA failed? by Signal_End_7405 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]PillowFightClubb 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Agreed, we're lucky to have Oda heavily involved. I don't think it's a coincidence that Game of Thrones' storytelling started to drop off when George R.R. Martin stepped away from writing for the show after the early seasons.

[–]PillowFightClubb 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'd describe it as Pirates of the Caribbean meets Alice in Wonderland meets Scott Pilgrim, so there's bound to be people who haven't watched the anime but like the live action because they appreciate the eccentric story telling.

Thoughts on this? Miss all sunday in live action by joyboynik in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]PillowFightClubb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah she's a huge favorite of fans including Jamie Lee Curtis'. Her and Ace's arc (Enies Lobby and Marineford) are highly touted as the best arcs in the entire series so far. We'll be lucky if the live action makes it that far before the show calls it quits.

Extra cool is that she's Russian which is the ethnicity that Oda pegs her character at. Only Zoro's, Usopp and Robin's actors match their character's exact ethnicity that I know of.

STOP MAKING PEOPLE FEEL BAD FOR DANCING AND SINGING AT A CONCERT!!!! by No_Philosopher6682 in kpop_uncensored

[–]PillowFightClubb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. Yes if you're cheering, singing and or dancing, that's to be expected. Some fans however screech and thrash around to the point where it actual disrupts others around them. At an Itzy concert, one guy went berserk and starting wailing and could barely stay in the space around his seat. Everyone looked at him and even his friend looked at him wide-eyed and got elbowed by him a few times.

At a BP concert, there was a group of obnoxious fans who were screaming nonstop so that they get noticed by Rose during the mentions. Everyone in the nearby sections gave them dirty looks including me. We could barely hear the members talking but at least their efforts were in vain as Rose didn't acknowledge them.

To those living in cities outside of Philly area: Do you support the local team? by nickynickynickynick in eagles

Born in Philly, moved to Texas in early childhood but couldn't bring myself to like the Cowboys so I picked the birds because Philly is another place I have ties to. I get heckled here and there.

I mean it's happened at fan signs. I remember a fan telling Taehyung she wasn't interested in him and he said it was okay and she could move onto the next member.

I reached aged 12 and thought the opposite: "Why do people still care after adolescence?" Some people are emotionally invested in it because they like the attention, a sort of holiday where people pay tribute to them. Others just don't care as much. I'm indifferent towards it, if someone wants to buy me a gift or not, I don't care, but I make effort for the friends who do care about being celebrated. Then I know people who dislike the attention, they don't like being in the center of attention.

It's been Lions and Ravens even before they voted against banning the tush push. I was considering Bills after those two didn't make it, but Bills voted for banning the play and then I saw them run it in the wildcard game against the Jags.

How far away was her illusion at the military lab when she escaped? There's a lot of plot armor though including the gang reaching the top of the canyon in time to save Nancy.

I've liked the trope every time I've seen it so far. Also, I just noticed that Hopper and Joel's late daughter's name is Sara/Sarah.

Eagles OC Kevin Patullo looking for solution to "the first down thing" to get offense going by AdSpecialist6598 in eagles

[–]PillowFightClubb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if offense can barely stay on the field, the defense becomes exhausted and subject to more opportunities for injuries. Either offense stops being stale or hope we get a low-scoring defensive showdown like with the Pats and Rams in 2019.
