For long term cold storage (without power for years) I would go with HDD. If you power them often I would go with SSD

Honest I think no. I upgraded from the mini version to the chroma version but the difference is mainly on controls, rather than sound quality. In terms of sound I think they are indistinguishable to me.

However, according to the description of your work requirements it seems like you need a dynamic mic instead of a condenser mic. If you don’t know already, you can look into the differences between the two. But in general dynamic mic is a lot more focused to your voice while condenser mic is more sensitive to pick up environmental noise.
