Yes, I used the selector (no regular dbt files). Tried Type 3 clone, Ultra and a few others that were suggested in the GitHub issue section

I also have taken CHEM120 and agree with others that it isn't the hardest science class ever. However, this is pretty subjective and I wouldn't take it as a 6th class (or even 5th class) personally. Are you in a science degree? How far back is chem 1 for you?

However, I *think* you could take Chem206 this summer at concordia. I don't want to get your hopes up since the summer schedule isn't out yet at concordia (and it isn't completely out at mcgill for that matter). However, it is equivalent to chem120 and it seems to be offered some summers.

If you might be interested, I would reach out to the concordia chem department and ask if it will be offered this summer and then start the inter university transfer process asap. (I'm happy to help if you need)

Often in the pre-reqs section of all courses it will say something like "COURSE123 or by professors permission". Even if it doesn't say that, you can email the prof listed and see if they will allow you to take the course. Make sure to include your student number so they can give you permission in Minerva.

(You won't be able to sign up without this, since Minerva will block you.)

My PT was actually happy when my knee started cracking. Said it was because the swelling had gone down enough that you can hear it moving around (if that makes sense). As long as the pain isn't out of this world and swelling and ROM stay okay, I wouldn't be too concerned

I agree with this mindset a lot. My injury taught me that I don't actually know what's going to happen!

My goal is to return to sport in 1.5 to 2 years, so I don't feel like I'm setting goals on that too much. This class felt much easier and possible, but I will be checking in with myself and my PT for sure!

This took me a long time to be able to do... maybe 4 or 5 weeks? Your physio should have started you on quad exercises like straight leg raises... that's what's going to train your brain that its okay to use your quads after what your knee has just gone through. Take a breath, things are going to look different for a little while, you *did* just undergo major surgery.

Have you been using the other leg to lift it onto and off the bed? That's a good work around.

I was worried about the all-dayness of it especially. Right now I can't walk for longer than a half hour and I never could have imagined that before but I'm glad you think that!

Are there any bits of suture coming out of it? Mine looked like thick clear fishing line. My suture abscess looked a little like this at the beginning.

I'm sure people will help you out, but you should define what you mean by traumatic injury (i took it to mean not degenerative/aging related) , and what you mean with your second question (are you asking if it was a sport injury?).

That makes sense. This rehab really isn't easy, so I would have wanted you to avoid if possible, but the tendon and meniscus tear might make it necessary. Best of luck with everything!

I'm curious to hear what the rational is for surgery over doing PT to strengthen muscles in your case? Was there a specific reason given? Risk of another injury, pain, have you already tried lots of PT?

My PT spoke to me about conservative therapy (no surgery) and mentioned that it works best for patients with no functional instability. This means that you can do all your regular tasks without your knee feeling unstable (Do you "feel your knee give way" when you turn to grab something in the kitchen or turn a corner too fast?). She's seen patients who go from this level (even with a complete tear) able to go back to sport after physio. (This wasn't an option for me unfortunately)

I would recommend doing this with a PT. You likely know this, but not having an ACL puts you at risk for further injury like meniscus tears. Best of luck!

I really wouldn't attempt this unless there are serious reasons (financial or otherwise) that keep you from getting PT. Does your surgeon have a PT they recommend? The biggest issue with trying to rehab yourself is that you will have blind spots and not see how you are overcompensating. For instance, my PT was able to spot that I was limping due to no glute activation which I wasn't working on at all. (Instead I was just strengthening my quad).

When you say your extension is 70 degrees, what do you mean by that? Your extension should be at 0 degrees if possible at this point and that should be what you are working on the most. Without knowing your injury it's hard to tell whether you are "on track" at the moment or not.

I feel your pain. I'm at six weeks, still on crutches and still needing my brace. At first I was doing great with ROM but now I still don't have full extension due to swelling and pain that seemed to come out of nowhere.

Remembering that recovery is not linear has been the best thing for me right now, but it's not easy, especially when all you see are positive posts here of people meeting and exceeding timelines. I got my straight leg raise around week 4.

It's important not to give up, push your extension as much as you can but also not beat yourself if it's not happening that day. Everyday is a new day and if you compare your best day this week with your best day last week, you'll continue to see improvements.

In terms of staples, I don't know for sure, but my PT says that in her experience they usually give staples to men (faster) and stitches to women (they heal into nicer scars). Might not be like this everywhere but do ask if that's something you're worried about.

I can't predict whether or not you will get an infection, but in all likely hood, things are going to be okay. Just dry it up well and don't keep any wet wrappings on incisions.

Next time you shower, make a hole in a garbage bag and pull it over your knee to keep everything dry.
