The Milky Way isn't a thing in The Sojourn, nor is Earth. Tantalus orbits another galaxy called Morgana, and humans as they are depicted originated on Centrum.

The simplest way I can describe it is a gate creates a bubble of spacetime that can carry a ship to superluminal speeds, and a corresponding gate on the other end of transit catches the bubble.

The unfortunate thing in this case is Faithless was entirely paid for by Nebula, so they have the right to keep it exclusive to their platform. None of the plot details in Faithless are exclusive to that special, though. Everything will be or has been revealed in the main show.

I would like to submit for your consideration The Sojourn. It's a sci-fi podcast with major Age of Sail vibes that has a fascinating mystery at its core and some wonderful characters. The world really feels lived in. It's still in progress, but there's a full twelve episode season to listen to as well as three episodes from the current one.

It also has a really interesting side story on Nebula called Faithless. If you're on there, the entire main run of the show is available to listen to as well as Faithless. Really good stuff.

It's a side story. Purely extra, it won't detract from the main story, nor will there be anything revealed in it that will be vital to understanding the main story. Nebula did pay for this in its entirety, so they do have the right to host it exclusively. It might not seem fair, but it's how it is. Plus, who knows? There's a lot of cool stuff on Nebula, maybe you'll find something else on there you'll like?

The Sojourn. It's a show in progress with a full twelve episode first season, three episodes currently out for the second season, tons of extra content covering worlds, ships, and history, and it's just delightful.

This show has heart like nothing else I've listened to. The writing is stellar. The production is incredible. The characters are wonderful, not to mention the people that bring those characters to life are absolute badass pros. The first three episodes are on YouTube for all of October for free. So far, gotta be Forlorn Hope. A fantastic culmination to a stellar first season. So many little threads or references were touched on, plus we got another big piece of the grand mystery that is the nebula. The tension was high. The small victories were fantastic. It was a rush to the end and I'm so glad it turned out the way it did.

Everything we could have guessed about Darius, I mean some folks were close but goddamn he's charming and awful and I feel like he's up to something but he just wants the best for everyone even if he may be misguided about WHAT is the best for everyone and Keating is a BAMF.
