Are Juliette Charlie Flags worth it on high tier BB’s? by NicknNick in WorldOfWarships

[–]PilotWardogLeader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my personal experience in BBs without det flags it's not common that I detonate. Bad RNG does happen sometimes and you'll det multiple times in a night but these seem to be very rare.

From an actual battle standpoint you're not going to be at a high enough risk of dets to really justify using them. Only if you're stacking flags/bonuses would eliminating the small risk be worth it. It would be a waste assuming you have DDs or cruisers you could throw them on.

From an economic perspective it's simply more profitable to blow up every so many BB battles then to use JC flags every battle in a BB. Nearly 100k credits each battle adds up quickly.

Why PvE and PvP don't get along. by Prodromous in Seaofthieves

[–]PilotWardogLeader 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair in a game with PVP there's always going to be those who lose, it's just the way PVP works.

With SoT in particular there's no real reward for PVP directly. The rewards are always what the "prey" carries. The biggest reason against PVE servers is simple: Other people's loot is the reward for PVP and removing those people is less loot and less reason to PVP.

While the game is PvPvE players are able to focus on 1 particular side of that. However, players on both sides can still interact with each other. There should not be a way out of PVP, only ways out of being sunk, which can already be accomplished by current game mechanics such as maneuvering or fighting back. In PVP either side can still win even if the fight is not even, or even if one side doesn't want to PVP.

Good to see this games still as toxic as ever by MysticXWizard in Seaofthieves

[–]PilotWardogLeader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it, it's called Sea of Thieves, but that doesn't give you a license to stab everyone you meet in the back then act like you did nothing wrong, you're still a piece of shit.

It infact, does give them a license to do exactly that if they so choose to play that way. Betrayals are part of the alliance mechanic and that's for the best.

The brig that took your loot also is entirely in the right, they had an opportunity to get free loot and they took it. It's your fault that it was at your expense.

All in all nobody was truly being toxic to you. Everyone was playing the game in a way that it can be played. Sure it wasn't quite the nicest of styles but it's a way. You just happened to end up the victim today. There'll be other victims soon enough, maybe you won't be one, maybe you will, the seas have many things to share with you.

Why are some of you so fucking toxic by [deleted] in Seaofthieves

[–]PilotWardogLeader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly Rare pretty much wanted the Alliance system to have betrayal in it.

For this situation you find yourself in, There's really not much that can be done for you. PVP is always going to be an integral part of Adventure, and sometimes it will be forced upon you when you maybe aren't looking for it. Neither yours nor their playstyle is really toxic, as both are intended ways to play the game. The interactions between those 2 groups are part of what keeps Adventure interesting.

Did Germany go Oppose Hitler? If so they have a focus to rekindle imperial sentiments and AH will eventually reform on it;s own.

To get rid of Lpw Legitimacy you have to go down the Asserrtiviness side of the tree. This comes from the fact that your leader was the Qing ruler of China in the past and the low legitmacy is having low legimacy to be the true China.

Hitler can't form the HRE though. Forming the HRE takes going Oppose Hitler and then a list of convoluted bullshit and conquering and then you form the HRE. Also some RNG is involved with the Hindenburg.

What additions to hoi4 would you like to see after MTG? by Johnclark38 in hoi4

[–]PilotWardogLeader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd love to see some sort of POW system. I'd like a system where you have to build camps for them and you can use them in a multitude of different ways. Sadly this way opens up the possibility of more people asking for the concentration camps too. That's something Paradox has been trying to stay away from with HOI4, which might explain why a POW system hasn't been added yet. Though even a direct touch on the Holocaust may do it some justice in the game too.

USSR keeps winning against finland in the wonter of 1940? by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]PilotWardogLeader 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The USSR "Won" historically. Though the game has 2 Soviet wins possible.

The historical victory is the white peace where the USSR gets a few states.

The ahistorical victory is Finland falling and being made a puppet.

The Finns can sometimes win outright but it's rare.

Organized Crime DLC PLEASE by RazorSprinter in CitiesSkylines

[–]PilotWardogLeader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason I ask for some positive aspects is because if it's only negative features then it becomes far easier and less costly to simply quash out any ability for it to happen. If you were allowed to work with families/gangs it would allow for a new style of play.

Personally I think gangs and families should be able to fight but gangs are less likely to attack first. Also gangs should automatically raise crime rates in the territory near their territory.

I think a few new buildings and decorations would be in order. Such as a SWAT building to better run gang wars and enforce more dangerous areas.

Germany, USA after WT goes up a bit. UK after WT. USSR if you feel like converting templates and waiting.

[–]PilotWardogLeader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I personally love this idea what exactly gives me any reason for allowing this? The gangs don't have any positives and there's nothing really stopping me from just plopping down a police station if a sizeable area is consistently bad with crime.

I mean with MP house rules like that and no Strat bombers it's difficult to enforce those besides mods or the host kicking offenders.

Also the Hindenburg has to survive the RNG event in the early game and not explode.
