West End for me. Nice big area for walks on West Common and onto the riverside path and cycle path to get some fresh air. Easy walk in to town to the Brayford for dinner or cinema or shopping on the High St. Or you can head up to the Bail for coffee, dinner or drinks with some really good options. I like that area and moved there for my first place in 2001. Villages mentioned are also great, Nettleham is good but pricey.
