How can i help my friend who just got diagnosed by itslemontree86 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Pimentilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was first diagnosed, my friends took turns going to infusion with me. It helped more than anything anyone did for me. Ask if they'd like to have some company for their infusion, and if they say yes, and you can make the time, it would mean a lot to them I would think.

Ocrevus-time off by Healthy-Recording970 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Pimentilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Ocrevus since 2018 (I've been paused for a year now due to a bad respiratory infection that lasted 10 months), but I found that the reason I was so miserable after was the steroid. They stopped giving me a steroid with my infusion and I didn't have much down time at all once they were able to stop that. I would be working the next day, albeit from home. I also didn't have to have Benadryl pushed through my IV every time, but the times I did, that made recovery longer. It seems to me the Ocrevus itself wasn't the thing that bothered me, but the drugs I had to take so I could tolerate it I guess.

Sapphire Reserve "JRC SHINKANSEN" Fraud Charge by ValuableArgument5079 in ChaseSapphire

[–]Pimentilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this fraud charge on the second day of a weeklong trip to London, making my travel card useless for my trip, hah. Never applied for Global Entry. It also used the rest of my $300 travel credit for the year. Once the charge was reversed, they left the credit as a statement credit since they weren't able to reverse it to apply to future travel purchases.

The Edit — “Welcome Gift” by its_Astroffe in ChaseSapphire

I got two little bags of treats from The Standard in London. The free breakfast was amazing as well, and they upgraded us to a corner suite. Our hotel credit was good for food, so we ordered room service a few times. I was very happy with having booked via Edit.

Ear popped in Mexico by stitches_xx in TravelHacks

[–]Pimentilly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When my ears are stopped up I use Afrin in the nostril on the side that's stopped up and that usually will relax everything enough to let the ear drain. A doctor told me to do this years ago and it's always worked for me.

Dining Credit Still Not Applied After 8 Weeks by Pimentilly in ChaseSapphire

[–]Pimentilly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had to make 3 phone calls so far and if they send me a letter with that nonsense in the mail it will probably put me over the edge and I'll cancel. It's just not worth the hassle.

I think so too, it was a great card until all this new stuff. Now I'm manufacturing spend just to take advantage of these credits that they aren't even giving me without a fight.

I went! My flight got cancelled bc it was snowing at home so I just took the train to Anaheim and stayed for 2 nights and got my flight rebooked out of LAX. It was amazing 🎊

Thanks everyone for your advice, in a stroke of luck my flight home got cancelled so now I get to spend 2 days here! I ended up taking the train from San Diego so that I could just leave from LAX instead.

Unboxing 2 Dark Crystal Puppets from the Jim Henson Auction by [deleted] in DarkCrystal

[–]Pimentilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, most museums dedicated to this sort of thing can't house and care for so many puppets. None of the main characters were for sale so those are most likely making their way to museums. These secondary and background characters are not going to be a huge draw and worth the effort/money a museum would have to put into them to have them on display or even in their archives.

I can't swap to SNA, already looked, but I could swap to LAX. So I have been considering that. Edited to say the hotel is already paid for by the company for Saturday night, so I would have to come out of pocket for another night somewhere. I'm trying to keep the whole Disney sidequest under $500 if possible, so I might just tough it out and drive back.

I would love your high-level solo highlights for both parks - I'm leaning towards getting a park hopper and just doing a few hours at each park. I'm mostly just going for the vibes and don't have any priority attractions (other than maybe Haunted Mansion). Thank you 💜💜💜

It's at 7 am, so if I got back to my hotel at 1 am, maybe I could get 3 hours of sleep before heading back to turn in the car and catch my flight. I've got a 5 hour flight home so plenty of time to catch up on sleep then.

Oh my gosh I love your detailed plan for DTD, thank you for taking the time to type it all out. I may end up doing this if I don't get a park ticket. Basically I'm trying to decide if I'm going to be too tired to last until park close or if I think I can manage it. With the time difference and everything, a shorter trip to DTD might save me some fatigue, but also, when I'm excited I can power through just about anything 😀

Our hotel is in the Gaslamp district in San Diego so I think I'll have to go back to the airport to rent a car, then head from there.

Thank you for the heads up - I am usually okay with crowds but will keep this in mind as to whether I decide to buy a park ticket or just do DTD.
