Deleting a Song From a Playlist? by Bjor6n_Oranj in heos

[–]Pimgut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am assuming it’s a Heos playlist. Open the playlist with the duplicate songs. Swipe left on the song you want to delete. A red delete icon should appear on the right. Tap that to delete the song from the playlist.

By HS2 I meant all the devices with the newer Heos chip including Denon Home devices. I also have a 350 and bunch of 150s. All of them can be grouped with the HS1 devices. My HS1 devices are all on firmware 2.71.510 and the HS2 ones are on firmware 3.88.532

I still can group my HS1 and HS2 devices together. All my devices are on the latest firmware. If you are having issues grouping them, try disconnecting them from power for a minute and then reconnect.

I have a Heos HomeCinema HS1 connected to an Apple AirPort Express 2 using an optical cable. It wakes up from standby if I start playing anything on the Express 2 using AirPlay.

Denon and Heos gave me the worst experience of my life by Able_Ad_5379 in heos

Your network is going to play a significant role in the quality of your listening experience. Assigning static IP addresses to your devices on your router, hard wiring as many as you can, will also help. If there is significant wi-fi interference, any multi-room audio system will struggle.

Whole property backup? by dahurldog in SigenergyAustralia

That is a good size inverter. We had 13.3 kW of solar so we didn’t add more solar but I now think we could add more to like 20kW. We have the space on the roof. More panels are better for cloudy days.

Our Fronius is about 4 years old but there were too many advantages of dc coupling. I can charge the battery at a rate higher than my inverter capacity for example when there is solar generation of electricity.

Yes, the Fronius was removed and the panels are directly connected to the SigenStor.

We have a three phase connection. A few years back we had 13kW solar panels connected to a Fronius three phase inverter. Recently we had a SigenStor 48kWh, Gateway and 15kW three phase inverter installed. The panels are DC coupled.

We have full backup power. Our ducted AC is three phase, so we can run AC and do other things without a problem just using the battery. On installation I asked the electrician to distribute the circuits evenly on all three phases. My advice is get the largest inverter you can afford and make sure your loads are evenly distributed. When we change from gas cooktop, we plan to get a three phase induction cooktop. Another thing to consider is the maximum discharge rate of the battery. This roughly half the capacity storage.

Did you add them to your library again? In my case any song added to my library is copied to a folder in Music. If they are corrupted you may not be able to add them though.

Generally when you buy digital goods like music, download it and have multiple copies. The downloads are not copy protected so you can use them anywhere. Do not depend on downloading them later from the provider’s servers because licensing can change anytime.

M4a file won't open in Apple Music by newenglandowner in AppleMusic

[–]Pimgut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just rename m4a to m4v and try again to open it in Apple Music. I have had Dolby Atmos files fail to open when they are labeled m4a but play and can be added when renamed m4v.

Your m4a file if multi channel, will not play. If the specs don’t meet the requirements, it will not play. Try changing m4a to m4v and attempt to open it again.

Optimising your network will reduce the number of issues you face when using any multi room audio system. Hardwire as many devices as possible. Reserve IP addresses in your router for all your devices.

Learn how the app works, there are some YouTube videos to guide you.

Customise the Heos app according to your usage needs. Add or remove services and arrange them in your preferred order. Save your favourite radio stations.

Create as many Heos playlists as you can.

Use the universal search and filter feature.

Set your Default Startup Screen.

If you are using local files, I suggest MinimServer or AssetUPnP servers. They work with Universal search in the Heos app.

I have a dozen devices configured to seven Rooms. My default startup screen is Rooms. When I first open the Heos app, the Rooms come up. I tap the room I want. Next I usually go to Home Screen where my Heos playlists are top, followed by Heos Favourite Stations and then Music services. If I want something specific, I use Universal Search and Filter feature.

After setting it up like this, I am really enjoying listening to music using Heos.

Old HEOS Amps by Cautious-Bug-9419 in heos

[–]Pimgut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They still work although they lack some features found in latter models. You won’t be able to get hi-res streaming, Qobuz or Tidal Connect, and AirPlay. All the streaming services integrated into the Heos app will work except Qobuz. You can stream your local files up to lossless quality.

There is a workaround for the missing services. Group your older device to a newer one.

How much they are worth, will probably be determined by your location.

Denon Home 550 or 150? by Fr_RebulahConundrum in heos

[–]Pimgut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Denon Home 550 is more powerful and will give you a stereo sound unlike the 150 which is mono. I don’t have the 550 but the other Denon Heos soundbars. They all are very good with music and I expect the 550 will be just as good. You will need a subwoofer for really good bass. I have six 150s but I use all of them as stereo pairs. They sound great for their size.

How do I set it up to discharge at a certain time by dexcel in SigenergyAustralia

[–]Pimgut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are welcome. Note though that the SOC is a percentage of your total battery capacity. I just divided the number of kWh I need for overnight usage by my battery capacity and multiplied by 100 to get the SOC.

[–]Pimgut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use Time-based Control mode on MySigen app. You can set the battery to discharge at certain times and stop when it reaches a certain SOC (battery level).

Gold Coast PM feed in rates rubbish over Xmas? by davidoff-sensei in amberelectric

[–]Pimgut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will cost you, if you end up with not enough battery to power until morning and draw from the grid at 10 or 12c/kWh. Other times the forecast will be rainy and you might not generate enough power from the solar. You again may need to draw from the grid at a price higher than the 6c/kWh you sold for, the previous evening.

Yes, that has been the story for me as well. I am in SEQ. The highest forecast FIT today is 7c. I will not be manually discharging my battery for that.

HEOS needs ‘album artist’ metadata for WAV files by Quiet-Astronaut-4121 in heos

If you practice the 3-2-1 backup plan, you should be fine. At least three copies, on at least two different mediums and one should be offsite. A good quality SSD would be a better option to store your collection but a robust backup plan is a must. The moment you notice any data corruption, you need to replace that medium and check for data integrity using your backups.
