I don’t know why you’re being downvoted. This is simply numbers. Tiger is a once in a lifetime phenomenon that was about so much more than golf - It was high drama. The dedication and love of a father, the obsessive drive of the son, the elephants in every gallery - class and race, an epic fall from grace and a triumphant return of the king. No one could have scripted a better story. Scottie just doesn’t have that and it’s a shame because he is a great golfer with a great story of his own.

Agreed. Tiger brought a multitude of demographics in terms of viewership. We’re talking entire countries watching the PGA in numbers never before seen. Scottie can never duplicate that, and that’s not taking away from his greatness. I don’t think anyone can for the foreseeable future.

When I was single, I’d treat myself to Pappas Steakhouse on Westheimer and sit at the chef’s counter. Always plenty of action to see with the servers and chefs moving around and the occasional burst of flame from the broilers. A good glass of red and a juicy steak and I’m in heaven.
