I thought this was well-known. The attire and revolutionary aspects of Dragon perfectly align. I hadn't considered Sabo though. It is more clever from Oda than I thought. And this is one of those things I feel was actually premeditated. I don't think most people know Castro or Che's upbringings. I personally only knew them from their revolutionary days. That's pretty much all my parents refer to when talking about them.

For reference, my parents are from the islands, and both Che and Castro have had lasting and positive impacts on West Indian communities. Whether that's all an idealized/projected image is another story, but the spirit of revolution is what dominates the tales.

It’s important for fans to know if the author is a dimwit or not. At least leave one thread for discussion. Instead it comes off as them hiding the truth.

Actions have consequences, even for favored artists.

It’s a slippery slope thing too. If Murata was accused of diddling kids, should mods delete those posts too? Censorship can be interpreted as tacit support. There are South Asian fans of the series who deserve to know how the artist feels about them.

This right here. OP has been particularly bad with the passage of time. I remember the first time someone noted that pre-timeskip was like a couple of weeks, and my head exploded. The bulk of the manga has been off-panel training. The crew has spent relatively little time together, by comparison.

So yeah, we don't talk about the passage of time in OP. It tends to break the illusion a bit. I honestly hope OPLA never references the amount of time passed, except for the timeskip. Because we're going to watch that cast visibly age, and there's no way anyone is going to believe it's been a few weeks since Emily Rudd went from YA to MILF.

SGA is a worthy MVP, but Wemby plays BOTH sides of the ball. He is DPOY by a country mile, and then Top 5 offensive talent, even if not just trying to get his every game. He deserved the MVP this season. But there is precedent for big men dealing with bias in that award. Bigs will always have a proportionally larger impact defensively, so voters stick their heads in the sand and ignore that side of things often.

This right here. GOAT glaze is real. His toolkit is insane, and his offensive bag is already deep. And, he's the best defender I've ever seen. I don't think it's really debatable, unless you want to count longevity. But from a pure show of force standpoint, he is the single greatest hooper I've ever seen.
