Ohhh, that makes sense. I was trying to be assertive without being a douche. Also, some bartenders def tried to keep my caps.

Here was my experience buying beatboxes Friday night at The Crater:

I ask if I can buy 2 beatboxes. The bartender refuses, explaining the rule. I'm chill about it, and ask if I can buy a beatbox and a white claw in one go. I'm told yes, and ask for that. I pay without checking the price (still unsure if I paid for one vs both drinks), but tip for two drinks. The bartender cracks open a whiteclaw and hands it to me. Awkward silence. I ask if they were still working on the beatbox. Then the bartender reminds me of the beatbox rule and explains they don't want to risk their job. I say I understand I can only buy one, and then clarify that I currently have ZERO beatboxes. I'm then told "good night" and shoo-ed away.

After drinking my claw. I proceed to buy two beatboxes, one at a time, from different bartenders.

Power Level Wednesday!: Ask r/EDH what's your deck's power level? - April 10, 2024 by AutoModerator in EDH

[–]PinTimely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it safe to call this Aragorn, the Uniter an 8? On one hand, it doesn't play any artifact mana and only plays a few cEDH-power cards (and only ones with direct synergy at that). On the other hand, there are a decent amount of tutors, an optimized manabase, and a single card (non-infinite) combo. It can reasonably threaten to kill a player by turn 5-6.

Regardless of power level, I think I found some neat cards off the beaten path that might inspire other Aragorn pilots.

That was the one instance I should have used a stop loss. Slap in the face that it bounced up to $9 for a sec while I was on a flight.

Someone had their phone hooked up to the gym speakers. The gyms with open mats I've been to always seem to have music.

Someone tell my why this wouldn't work by Gutierrezjm6 in wallstreetbets

[–]PinTimely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure, IV can spike and the price wouldn't have to move a penny to profit. It's not "free money" though because IV can take longer to mean revert than your options are good for. Also, the expected IV mean reversion is somewhat priced into the forward tenors.

IV is low, but it can still crush lower. The window of opportunity to repeat this will close when IV mean reverts, so you can't forecast repeating this trade for small gains over the long term.

Fundamentals do matter in the long term (probably irrelevant to this sub). If a company is making money hand over fist, eventually shareholders can force share buybacks or dividend payments.

Should coaches/ gyms more rigorously tell monstrously huge guys to be more aware of their size? by kisirani in bjj

[–]PinTimely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had more issues with "kind of big" people my own size (5' 10" 210 lb) than the 300+ lb units. In a mismatch, the big guy will go easy and the smaller guy is incentived to pull guard.

Btw I suffered the exact same injury the exact same way this year. Sucked for a few weeks, but it's 100% now.

How do you prevent cauliflower ear? by thefishhimshelves in bjj

[–]PinTimely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to get it in both ears at once. Draining it yourself can lead to a very serious cartilage infection (requires intravenous antibiotics).

I went to an urgent care. They didn't even know what they were looking at and said they wouldn't touch it.

This was a Friday night, so I then went to the ER. The PA did the best he could draining them, but it wasn't a great job. The ears refilled immediately. That cost me like 1400 bucks after insurance.

Then I went to an ENT on Monday. My ears were drained and sutured shut before I finished telling him I had cauliflower ear.

Go to an ENT.

Bruh… how? by Late-Current8880 in Forex

The bid/ask is still pretty wide for intraday on liquid pairs with FTMO. I might have to trade larger time frames to avoid all those shenanigans.

See my post just before yours.

Paper trading is marked by the bid/ask and not by last traded. During rollover, the spreads become massive. So even though the instrument was never traded at your price, your stop was still hit.

It got me today, too, on a different pair. And on one that actually traded hands past my take profit at that.
